Let me take you into the world of tradition, undiscovered beauty and incredible tastes that is Dalmatian Hinterland. Just a short drive away from the coast lies one of Croatia's most intriguing and lesser-known regions. First stop is Klis. Overlooking Split, it gives you an incredible view of the entire area. Once the seat of medieval Croatian kings, lately it has become famous for dragons, being one of the filming locations of the Game of Thrones series. Afterwards we will visit the nearby family estate to see how some traditional Dalmatian delicacies are made. Here you will also get to know how olive oil is made and how much it means to the locals before having the opportunity to try and buy some delicious home-made souvenirs. Next up we will visit Sinj, where I will introduce Alka to you, a knightly tournament celebrating the strength and courage of brave people who defended Sinj from Ottoman onslaught in the 18th century. The modern museum is pride and joy of locals and one of my favorite sites!
We had an absolutely wonderful tour with Boško! He created a very thoughtful itinerary for us that was the perfect mix of Croatian history, culture, and sightseeing. He was very friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable - highly recommend!
Excellent tour out of Split to Klis and Sinj. Boško was informative and friendly, providing good history and background as well as suggestions for other activities. We booked a different tour with him the next day.
Excellent guide. Book Bosko. You won't be disappointed. He was the definition of a local tour guide. He even went to high school right outside the walls of the Palace. He took great care in putting together an itinerary to fit our interests. He combined wine and Game of Thrones just as we requested. His brother even helped out as our driver. Spoke excellent English. I highly recommend Bosko.
We very much enjoyed our tour with Bosko. I don't think there was a single question we asked that he couldn't answer, even when it had nothing to do with the tour! His knowledge of history, art and culture was extensive and made for a fascinating time.
