Welcome! Bienvenue! My name is Rene and after 22 years working in the clothing industry I decided to make a carrer change and do what I love and I do best: Receive, entertain and guide visitors trough beautiful Montreal, the Canadian cultural capital, that offers to its visitors more than 100 festivals every year, a great diversity of museums, outdoor activities, sports, markets, restaurantes, craft breweries , and a vibrant cosmopolitan way of living, among many other interesting things. I love travelling, ( have been to 40 different countries around the globe), people, food, architecture, cycling and history are my passions in life. Throughout all this years discovering the world, I have come to realize that the best way to really discover and understand any place is trough its local people. I love to receive clients as if they where my own family, always in a friendly and respectful manner and adapting my tours to their specific interest and needs. With experience working with diverse international clients, I understand the importance of cultural sensitivity and inclusivity. I respect and celebrate different cultures, religions, and identities, tailoring my tours to ensure an unforgettable experience for all, whether you're part of the LGBTQI+ community or exploring with family and friends from around the world. I have been told many times that what makes my tours so special, is my outgoing friendly and enthusiastic personality and my knowledge and passion for Montreal. Licensed by the city of Montreal. Certified Montreal tour guide by the ITHQ. Member of the APGT ( profesional tourist guide association). Bike tour guide certified by Velo-Quebec. Covered by group liability insurance (With APGT). First aid trained. None restrictions. I can guide on my private vehicle ( up to 4 persons) If transportation for a larger group is required I can arrange a vehicle for up to 8 persons. I can guide walking, biking or in scooters.

Overview of your Montreal tour

I will meet you at your hotel, (Downtown Montreal or Old Montreal only) or at Square Victoria Metro station, and will be with you for 4 hours, enough time to discover the main highlights of Old Montreal, down town and a small part of the underground city! I will focus on the history of our city, so you can understand how we went from being a small French colony to the modern and multicultural metropolis we are today. Along the way you will see Montreal's first monuments and buildings, sculptures and churches, banks, stores and infrastructure and as we progress you will discover the different events that drove the development of this metropolis.

Your Montreal tour itinerary

The order of the places we visit will vary depending on the starting point of the tour. We will visit: Place Jacques Cartier, City Hall and Nelson column. Place d'armes and Notre-Dame basilica. Rue St-Jacques "The wall street of Montreal" WTC, Square Victoria and Underground city. Square Phillips, Anglican Cathedral and Rue Ste-Catherine. McGill University Campus. Square Dorchester, Marie Queen of the world Cathedral.
