Montreal is chock-full of public art, so I have chosen some of our most beloved sculptures to tell you their story, and also give a voice to the men and women who shaped our city. It's an original way of learning about the history of Montreal, Quebec and Canada while familiarizing yourself with our artists. You'll also get a glimpse of the duality between French and English speakers which has been such an important part of the fabric of our city since the 18th century. Three locations: Old Montreal West sector, Old Montreal East sector, downtown **The two Old Montreal options are also offered as shore excursions, as our port is adjacent to this area. I can pick you up near the cruise ship terminal.
Depending on the duration and pace you have chosen, you will see some or all of the following. DOWNTOWN (2 or 3 hours) - McGill University - President Kennedy Ave. - Robert Bourassa Blvd. - Phillips Square - René-Lévesque Blvd. - Dorchester Square - St. Patrick's Basilica - Victoria Street OLD MONTREAL EAST (2 hours) - Place Vauquelin - Place Jacques-Cartier - Notre-Dame Street OLD MONTREAL WEST (2 or 3 hours) - Victoria Square - Jean-Paul Riopelle Square - Place d'Armes - Place d'Youville
