Ciudad del Este is now the second most important city of Paraguay, was born to a port on the banks of the Paraná River and had an extraordinary development. Currently more than twenty thousand people cross the Friendship Bridge every day to buy all kinds of goods in Paraguay. For many, being in these streets is a shopping frenzy. I invite you to discover this land of the Guarani, today inhabited by many people. 1 - Please, before you book this tour verify if visa is required for your nationality. 2 - For those who stay on the argentinian side a brazilian visa also might be needed.
Had a wonderful time with Marcelo seeing a bit of Paraguay and learning about the history. The Monday Falls are worth the trip - they may be small but are very beautiful! Do be aware you may spend some time in line waiting at the border crossing - but it is a good time to relax and have a conversation.

Marcelo is a fantastic guide. I would highly recommend him to anyone. We were two females wanting to explore Paraguay for the day and felt more than safe with him. He was very knowledgeable about everything from wildlife, to Brazilian and Paraguayan history, to politics. We learnt so much from Marcelo!

Marcelo was on time, didn't rush, did everything we asked and even took us to additional destinations including an incredible waterfall in Ciudad del Este. I strongly recommend him.
Marcelo was fantastic. He was prompt, flexible, knowledgeable and a great communicator. He anticipated our needs well and was happy to adjust the schedule as we needed. His passion for the region, history, and wildlife were evident and we learned a lot during our stay. I would 100% hire him again.
Tour itinerary will be the following: 1st. Departure from Hotel 2nd. Customs procedures. 3rd. Visit to Ciudad del Este with stop for breakfast, Monday Waterfalls, Three Borders Landmark and Itaipu Dam. 4th. Stop for a snack. 5th. Return to the hotel. The itinerary can be customized according to your preferences and interests.
