This was a perfect day trip out of Venice for myself, my wife and two other family members. Luana planned every detail to perfection including our transportation to and from Venice with our excellent and very friendly driver, Massimo. Upon our arrival in Ravenna, Luana greeted us and spent a little time getting to know us. We started our walking tour of what turned out to be an extremely informative and enjoyable tour of several World Heritage sites, a few other sites and a mid-tour stop for lunch, that Luana supplied us with 3 options. Ravenna is such a special place, especially in the history and the sheer amount of beautiful mosaic craftsmanship that you'll see no where else in the world. We highly recommend Luana. It's apparent that she loves what she does, has a great knowledge of her subject and she made our tour very enjoyable and personal. One we'll remember forever.

Luana's tour of Ravenna made my trip to Venice so memorable. The UNESCO heritage sites were amazing. She gave such wonderfully informative artistic and historical background which enhanced the tour. She was so lovely, enthusiastic, and very accommodating. Her choice for lunch was perfect. I was able to have the local specialty, piadina, which was so delicious. My driver will pick you up in Venice and take you to Ravenna, where I will be waiting for you for a walking tour, which includes a visit to the following 4 UNESCO sites: the Church of St. Vitale, which stands out for the magnificence of its architecture and decorations; the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, one of the most evocative places of the Early Christianity; the Church of St. Apollinare Nuovo, where there are preserved some of the most iconic byzantine mosaics in the world; the Neonian Baptistery, the finest and most complete surviving example of an Early Christian baptistery; This tour includes a visit to the tomb of Dante Alighieri, the great poet, best known for the monumental epic poem the Divine Comedy.
