I've been guiding for forty years, but I'm still passionate as the first day as I consider this job as my favorite hobby. I like to show visitors my beautiful city and I love to share my knowledge with enthusiasm and professionalism. In my visits, I lead visitors to enjoy their personal experience lighting the spark of curiosity and unveiling hidden places according to their needs and tastes. I was born in Faenza, the city of ceramics, and I come from a small village 15 km from Ravenna, Russi, where my mother still lives. I have been living in Ravenna since I got married, 27 years ago. I lived in Paris and London, working for companies there, where I improved my French and English. I also worked for tourist resorts. This offered me the opportunity to create shows and dance, as I was a "regisseuse", and travel. Dance is my passion. I'm getting old but I still take contemporary and tap dance classes. I will dance till the end! I really love to travel. Culture and art enrich your spirit and open your mind. Every year I visit at least one foreign city and one Italian city with my husband and my son. I want to pass on to my son the value of opening up to the world. I had the wish to learn foreign languages in order to have neither barriers nor borders since I was a kid. I speak fluently English and French. This led me to become a local guide in Ravenna just after my high school graduation in foreign languages. I have a degree in sociology, specialized in communication and mass media. My aptitude and my studies help me to connect to people. Feel free to tell me all your needs. I like to create tailor-made tours! Licensed tour guide since 1985. Licensed tour leader since 1987. Licensed interpreter since 1989. Tourist entertainer diploma in 1984. Public relations diploma in 1991. University degree in sociology in 2001. High School diploma in foreign languages in 1983. I keep on studying and often I attend refresher courses. I do not have any restrictions in regard to my guiding. I can offer a full range of experiences.

Enjoy the charming city of Ravenna and its brilliant mosaics in an exhaustive walking tour which will lead you back to the Roman and Byzantine periods visiting the main UNESCO World Heritage sites. You will really be amazed to discover all the surprising treasures, be captured by the enchanting atmosphere, be plunged into a timeless beauty. You will appreciate the supreme artistry of the mosaic art which, as stated by UNESCO, provides crucial evidence of artistic and religious relationships and contacts at an important period of European cultural history. You will also have the chance to learn the mosaic technique visiting one of the mosaic workshops in town.
Very comprehensive experience in the amazing mosaics of Ravenna. We were able to change some of the planned tour to accommodate having already seeing a couple of the mosaic stops. Also appreciated a lunch and rest break (out of the heat) for this long tour.
A completely fabulous tour! Out of all the guides we had on our trip to Italy, my husband and I agreed that Cristiana was our favorite. In addition to being incredibly knowledgeable about Ravenna's brilliant Byzantine mosaics, she was pleasant, organized, warm, and easy to talk to. Though we spent six hours together, the time flew by as we explored each fascinating site, all of them dazzling. We were simply delighted with Cristiana's services and recommend her to any traveler who wants an in-depth experience in lovely Ravenna.
This was my father's and my favorite tour we took on our two weeks in Italy. In 6 hours we covered so many amazing spots and saw so many mosaics, and we even got a stop for a brief lunch and a break, which was critical for my 75 year old father. Cristiana was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining so many details in the art, and she was very patient with my dad who was constantly lagging behind and trying to find all the sites on his map. The pace of her tour was wonderful. We never felt rushed, and we saw so much! And Ravenna itself is just great. It's lovely and less popular with tourists.
This was an outstanding tour and would highly recommend! We especially appreciated how she worked around the visit of King Charles on the very same day as our tour.
Chistiana was the best. She was able to give us much useful information as we saw the highlights of Ravenna. She made the art and history come alive. As if that were not enough, she found the perfect lunch spot for our tastes. We highly recommend her services.
Christiana was an amazing guide. Her knowledge of mosaics and Christian symbology was exceptional. I highly recommend her a a guide if you are ever lucky enough to find yourself in Ravenna!
