I've been guiding for forty years, but I'm still passionate as the first day as I consider this job as my favorite hobby. I like to show visitors my beautiful city and I love to share my knowledge with enthusiasm and professionalism. In my visits, I lead visitors to enjoy their personal experience lighting the spark of curiosity and unveiling hidden places according to their needs and tastes. I was born in Faenza, the city of ceramics, and I come from a small village 15 km from Ravenna, Russi, where my mother still lives. I have been living in Ravenna since I got married, 27 years ago. I lived in Paris and London, working for companies there, where I improved my French and English. I also worked for tourist resorts. This offered me the opportunity to create shows and dance, as I was a "regisseuse", and travel. Dance is my passion. I'm getting old but I still take contemporary and tap dance classes. I will dance till the end! I really love to travel. Culture and art enrich your spirit and open your mind. Every year I visit at least one foreign city and one Italian city with my husband and my son. I want to pass on to my son the value of opening up to the world. I had the wish to learn foreign languages in order to have neither barriers nor borders since I was a kid. I speak fluently English and French. This led me to become a local guide in Ravenna just after my high school graduation in foreign languages. I have a degree in sociology, specialized in communication and mass media. My aptitude and my studies help me to connect to people. Feel free to tell me all your needs. I like to create tailor-made tours! Licensed tour guide since 1985. Licensed tour leader since 1987. Licensed interpreter since 1989. Tourist entertainer diploma in 1984. Public relations diploma in 1991. University degree in sociology in 2001. High School diploma in foreign languages in 1983. I keep on studying and often I attend refresher courses. I do not have any restrictions in regard to my guiding. I can offer a full range of experiences.

Overview of your Ravenna tour

Meet me at the port. I will be waiting for you with a chauffeur's private van or car. We will drive 15 minutes to the city of Ravenna while I will show and explain to you the characteristics of our territory and introduce you to the history of Ravenna. Monuments in Ravenna are very close and we can have a pleasant walking tour, but feel free to tell me your needs. Our driver has the authorization to drive also in the pedestrian city centre. You will discover my fascinating city enjoying its tranquillity, out of traffic and stressful life. You will be amazed by the beauty of mosaics and thrilled with history which transpires on every corner. But Ravenna is also a cozy city and you will appreciate its lively atmosphere and hospitable people.

Christiana was truly wonderful. Loved all the places we stopped at. She was extremely knowledgeable regarding the basilicas and mausoleum, we went to, and in explaining the Mosaics. Pointing out little details and what they symbolized. We were even able to stop at a little store to buy a postcard as I collect postcards from all of the places we visit. It was really fascinating hearing about the history of Ravenna and the Mosaics are absolutely amazing. We give Christiana a 5 Star Rating !! Thank you for an Amazing Tour !! Phyllis & Bob

Ravenna was on my bucket list. With a Masters in theology and art history I was pleased w/ the accuracy of the info provided by Christiana. I also appreciated her focus on enlightening my adult daughter who is still raving about the mosaics of Ravenna. I would recommend our guide to anyone wanting a thorough understanding of 6 century art and history. Also, Chris was very kind and thoughtful. I am a senior w/ mobility issues and she made sure that in ea. church & baptistry there was always a bench for me. she was patient w/ my slow gait. Great gal!
