Guide #69834
I’m a self-proclaimed “Honky-Tonk Queen.” I have worked as a hostess at the Grand Ole Opry for 6 years and have spent the last few years working part-time as a receptionist on Music Row. As a lifelong country music fan, Music City, USA has always drawn me in. When I first visited Nashville in 7th grade, I was convinced I would live here someday. When it came time to move away for college, I knew that Nashville was where I wanted to go to school. Living here has been everything I dreamed it would be and more! While earning my Music Business Degree at Belmont, I spent my spare time soaking in as much of the city's culture as possible. Specific rituals that I remember from my freshman year include enjoying nearly empty famous honkytonks such as Tootsies on weekday mornings, visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame several times a month, and driving around viewing celebrity mansions. After 8 years in Nashville, I have learned tips and tricks to make the most out of a visit here. Many relatives and family friends back home in North Carolina refer to me as their go-to for Nashville-related questions. I love showing people around my favorite spots, including many “off the beaten path” places to find great live music and down-home communities. My passions lie in Opry history, classic country, and the current under-the-radar outlaw/Americana scene. Though I know mostly about the more alternative country scene in town, I am also well-versed in mainstream country music among other genres. I’d love the opportunity to show you some great live music in town no matter what style or genre you prefer.

Wow! Where do I start? Mackenzie's tour guide service was absolutely fantastic! Our walking tour of Downtown Nashville would not have been remotely close to what it was if I trekked on my own considering so many things to see in 4 hours. From the start, Mackenzie gathered great info from me on my interests and put together a personalized itinerary. Since I love Country...
