Hi, and welcome! I am Swiss, grew up in Switzerland and South Africa, and have lived in Zurich for more than 30 years. With a background in History and Sociology, I enjoy helping visitors understand my city and my country beyond the obvious sights, through Swiss culture, society, everyday life and history. I have been working as a tour guide since 2019, but my professional life has taken me in many different directions. I have worked as an editor, an entrepreneur and a communications specialist for the Swiss government, as well as a fruit picker, bartender and rose seller. I am curious by nature and have a particular interest in architecture, beautiful places, local culture and good food. I enjoy sharing both the well-known sights and the smaller details, stories and observations that make a place memorable. My tours are informative but relaxed, with plenty of room for questions, conversation and your own interests. My goal is that you leave the places we visit not only having seen them, but feeling that you understand them a little better. I am also an experienced driver and am happy to tailor tours to your interests whenever possible.
