Buongiorno! My name is Simonetta, I'm a licensed Tour Guide in Friuli Venezia Giulia with almost twenty years experience. I was born in a charming little village in the western part of the region, which I have also included in my tours' list. Friuli Venezia Giulia is set between the coast of the Adriatic Sea and the Alps and boasts a surprising variety of natural and urban environments, rich in unique traditions, languages and flavours, which originate from its peculiar position, at the crossroads between different worlds. I'd like to share with you all the good things that our land has to offer: beautiful sceneries, history, art, good food and excellent wines, and all that mostly far from the crowds! To me, giving a tour is not just showing things and giving facts and figures, but rather help visitors plunge into the spirit of a place by making them aware of past history and present way of living. If, at the same time I can impart on them my passion for this wonderful part of Italy, then my goal is reached. In my tours I like to include a tasting of genuine local products whenever possible, as involving all the senses is part of the experience. Of course my suggestions can be tailored to suit your needs and desires. I'm also available to help you with accomodation, if needed.
