Hello from Trieste! I am your very local tour guide:) I was born and raised here, and even all of my four granparents were. That's why I'll be able to tell you much about this city, through the memories of a few generations. Trieste's history is particularly interesting especially because of what happened here and around this whole area in the XXth century! I am a licenced local tour guide for this city and the whole Friuli Venezia Giulia region, and I am passionate about it, and my family history. I also love nature and the outdoor, therefore if you want to explore the wild areas and get deeper into the local traditions I can advice about that, too. Trieste is located at the border with Slovenia, some 40 minutes from Croatia, less than two hours from Venice, and in a couple of hours you can get to Austria, too. . . isn't that a great position? Come and discover this unique corner of Eastern Italy! I can personalize all my tours according to your preferences. - I worked at Disney World Florida for one year in 1996. - I worked onboard Princess Cruises ships 1999-2002. - I worked as a tour guide for several summer seasons in Norway, in the fjord area. - I am also licensed as a Tour Escort, and escorted several tours in time especially in Norway and Iceland. - I have been working as a local tour guide since 2016. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Let's walk together through Trieste's history, and feel the atmosphere of a cosmopolitan city of the 1800, that has been one of the first examples of a cultural "melting pot" in its glory days! We'll meet at the start of Molo Audace, a large pier which is a popular walk for locals and tourists; this is the perfect place to introduce the history and get an amazing view over the city. Just by crossing the street we'll be in elegant Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia, the largest square in Europe overlooking the sea, and the expression of the highest moment of this city. From there I'll show you the quarter built by Empress Maria Teresa, with the Grand Canal and the Ortodox Churches. Finally we'll reach the top of the San Giusto hill, with the roman ruins and the Cathedral from the XIV century. Walking down the hill I'll take you trough the narrow streets of the Old Town and the Jewish Ghetto, once not a recommendable area, today perfectly safe. I can customize this tour according to your special needs and wishes.
