Paola was wonderful. Both her knowledge of the city as well as her demeanor were spot on. We all enjoyed spending three hours learning about Trieste and walking the streets with her.

Hi, my name is Paola. I was born in Trieste, where I grew up, and after high school I have lived in many different countries. I have qualified as an official tour leader and official tour guide and now I have almost 13 years experience as a tour guide. I love my hometown and I am happy to share my knowledge and to transmit my enthusiasm for my amazing hometown and its breathtaking surroundings. My interest in history and history of art go back to the time of my classical education and university. I then deepened this knowledge with additional studies and developed also further interests in botanic and also in the history of cinema, religions and gastronomy. But I can also provide you with some. . . 'vintage gossip'! I am happy when I can share my enthusiasm for the place I live and its amazing surroundings. I have written and conducted broadcasts of cultural and musical content for the radio. What I love about my profession: I love when people fall in love with this town and its regionâŠthat they are here for the first or for the tenth time⊠I love discovering people's interests and adapt my tour to them⊠I am particularly proud to be able to always offer personally tailored tours, always very attentive to my guests' feedback, keeping a constant contact with them and being very flexible in order to meet their expectations. Venice Tourism Department, officially licenced as a tour leader Friuli Venezia Giulia Tourism Administration, officially licenced as a guide for the whole region Friuli Venezia Giulia (licence no.136) I am not a driver. If a vehicle is necessary (which is often the case) , I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Trieste has much to offer: a combination of a wonderful natural settings, surrounded as it is both by the sea and by the Karstic plateau, as well as a pretty peculiar history. It has been part of the Austrian Empire for over 500 centuries and its main port for 2 centuries, becoming thus a melting pot of cultures, languages and religions. We will have the opportunity of seeing the beautiful romanesque cathedral, some roman ruins, fascinating small, crooked streets of medieval origin and also the more 'modern' part from the XVIII Century. We will admire the impressive main squares with their elegant buildings - always with a view over the sea or over the Karstic hills, and enjoy a coffee break at one of the famous and elegant coffeehouses.

Paola was a great guide. She was very knowledgeable (lived her life in Trieste) and provided a very interesting walking guide of the city. We highly recommend her. Ron B
We could not have had a more delightful tour of Trieste - comprehensive, insightful, and fun. I would - and will - recommend Paola to anyone visiting this beautiful city.
Paola is a very professional and dedicated tour guide. We were late due to the traffic, however she was flexible and we didnât miss anything. Definitely worth recommending. Thank you, Paola.đ
Paola was fantastic! She was proactive in every way. Communication was timely and succinct. She arrived promptly at arranged meeting point and was extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
After a tour stretching from Prague to Trieste via Vienna with guides in each city, Paola stood out for her knowledge of and passion for her subject. Never have we been with a guide who weaved so much history from so many periods into a contemporary assessment of a great city.
-Our first highlight will be the Canal Grande, the heart of the oldest district form the Austrian time. From there we will walk up the Sa Giusto Hill to discover the amazing cathedral ad some roman ruins. -Then we will walk down through partially steep streets to discover the old town medieval origin. -From there we will go to the main squares (including Piazza UnitĂ d'Italia, the largest square in Europe facing the sea), to the area of the former Jewish ghetto, the Roman theatre and some other interesting places and corners. -We will 'meet' statues of important literates who have lived in Trieste and impressive churches like the greek orthodox and the serbian orthodox church. -The tour can be customized according to your personal interests and wishes.
