My name is Mickael I'm 33 years old and I'm from Cherbourg in Normandy, France. Born and raised in Normandy, I have traveled through many countries to discover new customs, speak other languages and meet new people. I am passionate about History, and culture in general. When I don't read books or watch movies, I like to play tennis or hike in the nature. I traveled a lot, but I always come back to Normandy, a region that I love and that I'm proud to show to visitors from all over the world. I have been a guide for 10 years. I started to guide groups of school kids in one of the biggest WW2 Museum of France, and then, groups on the actual battlefields of the landing beaches. Over the years, I studied more and more to be able to guide in other places like Mont Saint-Michel. I do mainly full-day tours on the five beaches where the Allies landed in June 1944 - Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword Beach. I love explaining to visitors why, who, when, how and all the context about the events to give them the big picture and have a better understanding of the whole thing. Even if WW2 is fascinating, Normandy has a long History, and I also love to tell stories about other times like middle-age since I lived in Bayeux and Caen for many years. Viking invasions, William the Conqueror, the Bayeux Tapestry, the 100 years' war. . .
