Guide #79494
My name is Sébastien. I was born in Normandy — this beautiful region of France that I only left for a few years to study, before coming back for good, unable to stay away from its landscapes, its light, and its unique atmosphere. I grew up here, my roots are here, and even today I rediscover Normandy every day with the same sense of wonder. For many years, I worked as an industrial risk consultant. It was an interesting job, but over time I realized that I had lost the passion and sense of purpose that drive true happiness. I missed something essential — joy, human connection, and the feeling of sharing something real. I needed to reconnect with what I truly loved. So, I followed my heart and my curiosity. Passionate about my region, I began photographing and filming it with my drone. Seen from above, Normandy revealed itself to be even more majestic, diverse, and alive — and I felt an irresistible desire to share its beauty with the world. From the D-Day beaches to the cliffs of Etretat, from the abbeys to the peaceful countryside, every landscape seemed to tell a story. That’s when I knew I wanted to dedicate my time to helping others discover this remarkable region. Three years ago, I created my own transport company and soon specialized in private sightseeing tours. I’m particularly passionate about Normandy’s history — especially the D-Day landings and World War II. I’ve studied and trained extensively so I can share this important heritage with accuracy, emotion, and respect. On these historic sites, I don’t just tell you the facts; I bring them to life through stories of courage, humanity, and hope. Today, I offer guided tours to Normandy’s most iconic places: the D-Day beaches, Mont Saint-Michel and its magical bay, Etretat’s breathtaking cliffs, the charming harbor of Honfleur, and the historic city of Rouen with its magnificent cathedral. But beyond these famous sites, I also love to take you off the beaten path — to picturesque villages, local artisans, and hidden corners that only the locals know. I deeply believe that traveling is not just about visiting — it’s about feeling. That’s why I design tours that blend history, culture, gastronomy, and human connection. Normandy is not only a land of beaches and apple trees — it’s a land of emotions, traditions, and unforgettable flavors. I love sharing a perfectly aged Camembert, the scent of an orchard in bloom, or a warm crepe fresh from a country cider house. Every tour I offer can be fully customized according to your interests and wishes. Whether you want to spend more time on history, nature, photography, or food, I’ll be happy to adapt the itinerary to make it your perfect day in Normandy. Please feel free to message me in advance — I’m always glad to create something unique just for you. Every year, I travel to a different country to discover new cultures and perspectives. These journeys are an endless source of inspiration and remind me what travelers truly seek: authenticity, sincerity, and meaningful experiences. With that mindset, I always strive to create the kind of trip I would love to take myself — genuine, smooth, welcoming, and deeply human. You’ll travel in comfort aboard my spacious and elegant Mercedes V-Class van, perfect for families or small groups. Inside, you’ll find everything you need — and a few little surprises that I prefer to keep secret for now! My goal is to make each tour as enjoyable as it is unforgettable, perfectly balancing relaxation, discovery, and pleasure. My greatest reward? Seeing your eyes light up at a view, feeling your emotion as I share a story, and watching your smiles at the end of the day. Every meeting, every tour, every exchange is unique — and that’s what makes this job so meaningful to me. So, if you dream of discovering Normandy in a different way — at your own pace, with a passionate local guide who truly loves his region and wants to make your stay unforgettable — I’ll be delighted to welcome you. Together, we’ll write a beautiful chapter of your journey, between history, culture, food, and breathtaking landscapes. I can’t wait to meet you and help you experience the real, unforgettable Normandy !

He was a nice enough got but it felt no different then being taxied around. Even though he lived there he didn't know much about the places we went or the history of the area. I really would've liked to know more history of the area and places we went. I was a bit disappointed in that. But we did go to some beautiful places.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that the tour didn't fully meet your expectations. As a private guide, I always adapt to my clients' wishes and pace. However, it's difficult to provide detailed historical commentary on sites and monuments when you've declined or shortened some of the scheduled visits. That said, I'm delighted that you enjoyed the beauty of...
Sebastian was our guide in Normandy for our party of 7. He has a very comfortable Mercedes van that accommodated our group very well. Sebastian is part of Tours by Locals, lives in Normandy and is an excellent guide to the D-Day beaches, museums, American Cemetery, and Pointe du Hoc. But we wanted to experience more than the D-Day events, as we wanted to truly experience...
Sebastian was a great tour guide. We saw Rouen and all of its major sites. He was informative and very kind. We are slow moving and he was very respectful of this. He also reccomended a fantastic place for lunch! We would never have found it. After that he took us to a beautiful spot to overlook the city. You could see the Seine, the old city, the new city and the...
