In my search for answers, I've staged art projects in prestigious exhibition spaces and fascinating locations, from an abandoned factory to the most prestigious international art shows.

While working in television, I delved into the collections of the world's most iconic museums. As a museum professional, I have meticulously studied museum practice at leading institutions in Europe and the USA.

While my academic background includes a Master of Arts in Art History, my extensive experience has convinced me that art history alone offers a somewhat narrow perspective. This insight inspired the creation of the curated art tours in Vienna's art museums. These tours seamlessly combine stories of styles and artists with elements of anthropology, economics, evolutionary psychology and a touch of everyday life.

Master of Arts in Art History

I am a museum guide and I do excursions in all museum collections, but not in the city.

I meet all guests at the entrance to the museum, I do not pick up visitors from their hotels.

At the end of the 19th century some Viennese artists formed a progressive movement that rejected academic doctrines and conservative views on painting. These artists created under the motto "To each time its art, and to art its freedom".

Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka are the biggest names in Viennese Expressionism and Art Nouveau - these artists at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries refused to create the merely "beautiful" and set out to find a new meaning for art.

On my tour you will see the canvases of these and many other outstanding masters of the period, and learn what the Secession is, how the Viennese artists arrived at the views they embodied in their works, and why these images remain so compelling today.

The purpose of my excursion is to help you understand where the status of a painting has been influenced by successful PR, where technical execution has played a role, where there is the influence of aura or cultural tradition, and where there is genuine craftsmanship. Vienna is one of Europe's great cultural cities and as such has art collections featuring the most important masterpieces by Vermeer, Velasquez, Raphael, Bruegel, Rembrandt and many others.

At the turn of the century, Vienna was also one of the centres of Modernism in Europe. The Viennese Secession and its protagonists Klimt, Schiele and Kokoschka were the brightest representatives of Art Nouveau, who created their works in the intense intellectual and social life of this society.
