Join me - an art historian, curator and museum educator - on a fascinating journey through the world of art. My relentless 20-year quest revolves around one fundamental question: "What exactly does art offer its viewers?" In my search for answers, I've staged art projects in prestigious exhibition spaces and fascinating locations, from an abandoned factory to the most prestigious international art shows. While working in television, I delved into the collections of the world's most iconic museums. As a museum professional, I have meticulously studied museum practice at leading institutions in Europe and the USA. While my academic background includes a Master of Arts in Art History, my extensive experience has convinced me that art history alone offers a somewhat narrow perspective. This insight inspired the creation of the curated art tours in Vienna's art museums. These tours seamlessly combine stories of styles and artists with elements of anthropology, economics, evolutionary psychology and a touch of everyday life. I invite you to join me in exploring the world of art, where every museum visit becomes an enriching experience that adds a unique dimension to life! Master of Arts in Art History I am a museum guide and I do excursions in all museum collections, but not in the city. I meet all guests at the entrance to the museum, I do not pick up visitors from their hotels.

Klimt was born and died in the Austrian capital, so it's no wonder that you could spend days wandering around Vienna trying to see everything: his The Kiss at the Belvedere Palace, the Beethoven Frieze at the Secession Exhibition Hall, Life and Death at the Leopold Museum. During the Art Tour you will visit the three museums that house the most important part of Klimt's legacy and get a comprehensive overview of his work.
Belvedere Palace: Do They Kiss or Not? First we go to the Belvedere. Here we will find The Kiss and Judith, famous works from Klimt's most spectacular "golden period". "The Kiss" is the main tourist icon of the city. And here I will tell you in detail the historical context and the origins of the great artist's work. Secession: Hymn to the Power of Art After a visit to the Belvedere, you'll understand Klimt's artistic ambitions a little better - and it's the perfect time to see the magnificent Beethoven Frieze. It is the only site-specific work that was not commissioned, but created at his own desire. In the exhibition hall of the Secession, you'll experience Klimt's art in its purest form. Leopold Museum: Open Allegory of Life Our third stop is in the Leopold Museum. Here you will see Life and Death, a painting that Klimt reworked several times. We will take a closer look at this key work in his oeuvre, as well as the landscapes, to understand the mature Klimt and complete our journey through his legacy.

During the art tour you will visit three museums, and most of the time we will walk from painting to painting. From the Belvedere Palace to the Secession we will take a taxi in about 7 minutes (included in the price). From the Secession to the Leopold Museum, we will walk about 8 minutes.
27 Prinz-Eugen-Straße, Wien, Wien, 1030, Austria
The meeting point is the main entrance of the Belvedere Palace (also called Upper Belvedere), the street address is Prinz-Eugen-Straße 27, 1030 Vienna. I will be waiting for you on the right side of the main entrance of the Belvedere Palace (it is on your right if you look at it from the front, on your left if you turn your back to it). If you see a breathtaking view of Vienna, you have found the meeting point. If you see the palace but not the view of the city, please go to the entrance on the other side.
