I was born in Córdoba, Argentina, where my connection with the mountains began in the sierras of my home province. Mountaineering eventually took me to the high Andes, and 12 years ago I moved to Mendoza, a place that has since become my home. Almost 10 years ago, I became a professional mountain guide and started working in the Andes. Since then, I’ve spent years guiding, climbing, exploring the mountains, and eventually creating my own adventure travel company. Along the way, I’ve built friendships and partnerships with gauchos, local families, horsemen, and people whose lives are deeply connected to the Andes. Through them, I became closer to horses and discovered another way of experiencing the mountains — slower, more traditional, and connected to the culture of the countryside. Today, horseback riding is one of my favorite ways to share Mendoza. Some of my favorite days are quite simple: riding into the mountains, stopping somewhere beautiful, lighting a fire, preparing an asado, sharing some Mendoza wine, and enjoying the company of the people around us. And yes, I care a lot about the food! Whenever possible, I prefer homemade meals and local flavors. For me, sharing an asado around the fire is also part of discovering Argentina. After 12 years in Mendoza and almost a decade working professionally in the mountains, I’m happy to share the places, people, and experiences that have become part of my own story.
