With so many places to visit and an extensive subway system, I know New York City can feel overwhelming. There's nothing I love more than helping someone feel at ease and have a great experience exploring the amazing areas of New York. I'm a licensed NYC tour guide offering private, personalized, and fun full and half day neighborhood walking tours for families and small groups. With every tour, I aim to help people learn to navigate around town, hear great stories, capture wonderful photos, laugh a lot, and make amazing memories together. I am passionate, energetic, quick-witted, and love making people say "wow" at all the sites. I'm originally from Orlando, FL, but have lived in numerous places, including San Francisco, Atlanta, and even Sydney, Australia. Prior to becoming a guide, I worked for years helping well-respected non-profit organizations tell their stories and raise funds to support their critical work. For the past 11 years, my wife and I have called New York City home. We absolutely love living here and are always out exploring the city. I'm also a Broadway fanatic seeing more than 100 shows a year and am happy to offer suggestions for what to see and the best way to get tickets. Overview of your New York City tour

Brooklyn is a must see on any trip to NYC. Amazingly, it's three times bigger than Manhattan! Brooklyn has many colorful neighborhoods, each with their own personalities and charm. On this walking tour, we will explore two amazing, yet completely different neighborhoods separated by the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. Brooklyn Heights, New York's "first suburb, " is a classic, brownstone neighborhood that boasts a rich history and spectacular views of Manhattan. DUMBO was once a manufacturing hub and now the center of New York's technology boom. This was the first place I lived in the city and will always be a place close to my heart. Every time I take people there, I love sharing my story about living here. And of course, everyone is dazzled by the beauty all around, especially with an iconic stroll over the Brooklyn Bridge. You are sure to fall in the love with the city after exploring these gems with me. My tours are very family friendly. Bring on the kids!

Adam was extremely personable, knowledgeable, informative, and prompt. He was happy to have email exchanges in advance so that the tour was tailored to our interests. He also was considerate and proactive in suggesting that we postpone the tour a week to wait for Brooklyn snow clearance and an easing of the frigid outdoor conditions; he kindly and wisely thought of it before we did, and luckily we were flexible with the dates. We certainly recommend and would enjoy other tours with him as well.

Had a delightful time with Adam. He was terrific. We have used Toursbylocal often all over the world and Adam was right up there. Told us great stories we didn’t know. Was engaging. Personable. On July 22th we were lucky to have Adam as our tour guide. We took our granddaughter to New York City for her 9 year old trip. Subway rides to Brooklyn Bridge area, Dumbo, Brooklyn Heights! He found us great New York Pizza (gluten free for granddaughter). He took us to a carousel ride and we had terrific ice cream. AND Adam got us to the Ballet on time. Informative, entertaining, great with kids and patiently took great pictures of us. We highly recommend Adam!

On this tour, we will: - Learn about a historic decision Jackie Robinson made in the neighborhood. - See a mysterious row house… that's not a house at all! - Gaze at the most stunning view in all of New York City. - Discover an invention made in the factories of DUMBO still used by almost every company in the world. - Hear the story of the true hero of the Brooklyn Bridge. (Trust me. She's amazing!) - The tour will end on the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge, at the top of the Financial District. Guests will have time for photos throughout.
