Hello I'm Emma a qualified professional Tour Guide and one of the few female Tour Guides in Belfast. I am a working mother and I gained a First Class Honors Degree in Humanities which led to a career change and I have a particular interest in uncovering some of the history relating to the women of Belfast. I was born and raised in Belfast, a city I'm very proud of and which has changed immensely over the last fifty plus years! Some things never change and that is the warmth and humour which we share regardless. I have always been interested in the history of Belfast so being a Tour Guide is the perfect job for me as I can offer a wide variety of walking tours and experiences to suit your needs. Belfast has a complex history which I'm happy to explain in an interesting and informative way. I would love to share my passion and personal experiences of the city with you. Visitors to Belfast are always surprised at our warmth and humour and I am happy to share some of our famous hospitality with you. Tours can always be customised according to your own specification so if you see something you like get in touch!

This two hour walking tour around Belfast City Centre will explore some of the experiences of women living in Belfast during the period between 1969 and 1998, more commonly known as 'The troubles'
The period between 1969 and 1998 was more commonly known as 'The Troubles' and you hear a lot about the experiences of men during this time, but what about the women? On this tour you'll hear some of those women's stories including: The women who broke into the local television station here to bring attention to the plight of prisoners The first female British Prime Minister who visited Belfast during her toughest year in office How the women of Belfast kept on shopping and socialising even during the darkest days here And may others! Your guide, Emma Casey, is a women of Belfast, born in 1972, which is widely regarded as the worst year of 'The Troubles' and has lived through those dark days into the optimism and hope which came with the peace process here
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
