Using the famous Belfast murals as a back drop, you will get to delve into the politics, the place and the people, involved in the most recent conflict in British/Irish relations. Each of these famous murals has its own story to tell and by using my passion and personal experiences from living through the conflict, I will help you try to understand one of the most conflicting times in Irish history.
Picking up at any city centre location, port or station. This tour takes you into west Belfast, visit the famous Belfast murals on both the Falls rd and the Shankill rd, get an in depth narrative on each stop. Itinerary: Pick up at any city centre location, Belfast cruise ship port or Belfast airport. Travel to West Belfast. Stop at Divis Tower in the Famous catholic, nationalist, republican Falls Road were you will listen to an introductory talk about the recent conflict in Ireland which began in 1969. Stop at the International wall and take photos of the many famous murals. Each mural has its own story to tell. Travel through the gates on one of our many peace walls. Stop at a section of the main Peace Wall and take photos. Travel to the Famous protestant, British, unionist and loyalist Shankill Road and hear the narrative about the conflict from this side of our community and also take photos of the murals.
