Hi, my name is Anne and I am an accredited green badge tourist guide for Belfast. I am a local and I am born and bred in Belfast. I studied law at Queens University Belfast and practiced as a solicitor in Belfast city centre for thirty years. I grew up in Belfast during the period of the troubles and only once I started travelling did I recognize the rather "different" upbringing and experiences of my early childhood and later working life. I have travelled widely around the world but feel Belfast is a unique and one off place for people to visit. I love art, architecture, history and story telling. I love being outdoors - probably after thirty years in an office! Belfast is a city of great variety from Victorian buildings to the modern Titanic Belfast experience. I offer city walking tours and can customise a walking tour to suit your needs. I am an accredited green badge guide for Belfast. I am a member of the Northern Ireland Tourist Guide Association. I have an LLB law degree and practised as a solicitor in Belfast City Centre for 30 years. I provide walking tours only and will suggest use of public transport if required. I can act as a step on guide if you have your own transport.

If like me, you like to dip into city life and walk the streets, hear a few stories, a bit of history and act like a local then this is the private walking tour for you. I will show you our City Hall grounds and then take you to the south of the city where the students hang out and where the arty cultured "south Belfast" locals enjoy their coffee and culture. We will pass by a victorian music hall and old linen warehouse and on to Queen's University to walk through the university quad. I studied for my law degree there so I know it very well! I will take you through the side gates into Botanic Gardens where all the students hang out in the good weather and on to the Ulster Museum to dip into some really interesting exhibits. I too suffer from museum fatigue so I will pick out the best and keep it short and sweet so you will be left wanting more!
Meeting point - front gates Belfast City Hall (nearly opposite Visit Belfast visitors centre). Stop one - Queen Victoria statue and Titanic Memorial Gardens. Stop two - Ulster Hall music hall and Ewarts warehouse. Stop three Queen's University Belfast and quad Stop four - Botanic Gardens - see the Palm House Stop five - Ulster Museum to see the Armada treasure, Clonmore Shrine, Belleek china and Game of Thrones Dragons and to shop in the Museum shop. Please note the Ulster Museum is closed every Monday. If it is a wet day we could take the public bus up to the university rather than walk. The distance covered in this walking tour is approximately 1. 1 miles from the City Hall to the Ulster Museum. I can give you directions to get public transport back to City Hall.
