Welcome everybody to Bangkok or the Angel City of Thailand. My name is Pap but you can call me "Pap". I have lived in Bangkok since I was born so I know lots of things in Bangkok especially in the cultural things. Because I chose to study history and teaching of Social Studies as my bachelor's degree and master's degree respectively when I graduated, I have been a social studies teacher. Apart from teaching, I am also interested in traveling to explore new things such as the vision of the people, and the history or culture of that place. I always apply these things in my teaching. After I have been teaching for a while, I think my knowledge will still be useful for the traveler if I do the tour therefore I studied to get the Tour Guide license and have been a freelance tour guide until now. Because I grew up in Bangkok and also teach social studies, I specialize in the history and culture of Bangkok which is the most important city of Thailand. If you want to know about Thai people and culture, you should choose my tour. On my tour you not only know about the place you visit with me but you also understand the life of Thai people, especially our beliefs which are the core aspect of Thai Culture. If you think that Buddhism is the only belief or religion of Thai people, you may rethink again when you tour with me. Even the name of our capital city (Angel City) also relates to this. All tourist attractions I chose in my tour are unique and relate to each other. I will take you to the hidden community, get insight into the history of the community, understand their life, taste the local food, and enjoy the local life. Overview of your Bangkok tour
Thonburi was the capital city of Thailand. There are lots of old communities which tell the story of this old capital city but I will present you Kudi-Chin. It is the old community hidden just near the Temple of Dawn. On this trip, we will explore the beliefs of the people in the community including in Arun Temple (Temple of Dawn) because the belief is the core of Thai society and culture. I am also a history teacher, so you will be getting some cool insights about this local community and the past of Thailand. The itinerary is flexible for any changes please let me know.
Your Bangkok tour itinerary
Walking Tour by using public transportation to Kudi-Chin Community, the hidden community of Thonburi District as well as enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Temple of Dawn or Wat Arun, one of the Landmarks of Bangkok. 09. 30 Meet up at BTS Station (Saphan Taksin) 10. 00 We will take a boat from the Sathorn Pier to the Sapan Put Pier. After that, we will start exploring the Kudi-Chin community by walking across Memorial Bridge. 10. 15 Arrive at the Community, and start the tour by visiting Kian-An-Keng, or the shrine of the Goddess of Mercy. 10. 45 Visit Santa Cruz Church and the Catholic Residence 11. 45 Visit Wat Kalayanamit 12. 15 Visit Bangluang Mosque 12. 45 Walk to the Temple of Dawn and have lunch in this area. 13. 30 Visit the Temple of Dawn or Wat Arun. Here you will enjoy the beautiful of Main Prang and the Graceful of the Main Chapel 14. 30 Choose between returning to the Sathorn Pier by taking the Boat or taking a Tuk-Tuk (Or taxi) to MRT Itsarapab 15. 00 End the trip at BTS Saphan Taksin or MRT
