The trail of Ayutthaya is the tale of Siamese Kings from the 14th century, the places will give a contrast that you can feel to the time of the glory of the old capital especially the existence of the stunning temples and palaces awaiting you to experience. The city of Ayutthaya was an old capital of Thailand from 1350 - 1767, the Bang-Pa-In summer palace was built as a royal retreat site by King Prasart thong of Ayutthaya and is rebuilt by the Kings of Siam of the present dynasty. The historical site of the temples was recorded as a world heritage by UNESCO the existence of the royal palace and royal temples are left which can be seen today.
Chawanwit K. was one of the best guides we have ever had! We spent two days with him and wished we could’ve had a whole week with him. He was attentive to my needs as a Quad Amputee and helped me with navigating rough terrain. He told us all kinds of history of the site and it was like having a walking history book. I highly recommend him and hope others are able to experience seeing Thailand through his eyes! I’m going to miss him!
K is an outstanding guide! He communicated via WhatsyApp on a timely basis when I had inquiries. He and our driver greeted us promptly at 8 am at our hotel with a very comfortable van. The whole tour was excellent: informative, interesting thorough. We learned a lot in a very enjoyable way. Each location was fascinating. We stopped at a great restaurant (broad menu, delicious food) for lunch. You can feel comfortable booking with K whose English is excellent and who provided a top notch tour day!
How many different ways can you say Outstanding? We are a retired couple and had visited Ayutthaya (separately) decades ago. Kay, supported by superb driver Thang, provided us with a memorable day. Prior to our arrival, Kay communicated via TBL to confirm/reconfirm our meeting point and time. He was very solicitous of any special requests. Kay shared some of his encyclopedic knowledge throughout our day. He was very considerate of our well-being; frequently checking with us regarding pacing, rest breaks, etc., since we had arrived in Thailand the night before after 24+ hours travel from the USA. He also organized a lovely lunch spot. We took more photos than our phone batteries could handle, LOL. I strongly recommend this tour and booking Kay as your guide if he is available. If/when we return to Thailand, we certainly will!
Simply, he is great
Kay was a great tour guide. He also had a driver he worked with who was excellent too. They had a large, clean van with lots of room. Kay spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable about Thai history. Ayutthaya makes for a great day trip. The old city which was destroyed by the Burmese has some interesting ruins including the cool Buddha head in the tree roots. The boat ride through the canals and rivers was great too. You will have an excellent time on this tour or any tour with Kay.

Start time: 8 am. Meet at your hotel and drive to Ayutthaya, visit Bang Pa-In, the modern King's retreat built during 1872-1889, the time of which the Western-influenced Kingdom, The King's throne halls were once used as an audience, reception, and living chambers, then continue driving to the main spot where the legacy of all kings of Ayutthaya begins. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit Wat Prasisanpet, a former royal temple built in 1448, with its precinct adjoined to the palace where all kings resided. Another well-preserved temple is Wat Mahathat, built in 1374. A standout temple known to tourists for the Buddha's head entwined by the roots of the trees, including other ruined monuments that had been left behind after the fall of this capital in 1767. Afterward, we will take a long-tailed boat ride along the rivers to visit one of the most remarkable temples, Wat Panan-Choeng, built in 1324, home to the Gigantic Buddha in the sitting posture, and recognized as the largest in Ayutthaya.
