Hi everyone, my name is Nicola and I come from Tuscany, actually from a historical small village, nestling between Florence and Siena. Here I started to work as a tour guide and accompanist for Siena, Florence and their provinces. As a big lover of the beautiful surroundings I was born into and where I grew up, it was always clear to me that one day I would be studying history of art at the University of Florence; and this is exactly what I did. Aside of it, thanks to my father, I also grew a deep love and respect for Nature, that accompany me since I was a kid, and is still, together with culture and important point of reference in my life. Thanks to my beloved Tuscany, that has provided me with so much inspiring inputs, the fire of passion for this beautiful job has grown so much that I now want to do it in the land that has adopted me, Switzerland, where I live with my family since more than 2 years. A country, Switzerland, rich in history, art, culture, but also characterized by a glorious nature ready to be discovered and loved. With these premises, I am here to introduce myself hoping to arouse interest in the people who will visit my page, sure that together we will be able to spend wonderful moments and create indelible memories. It doesn't matter in which corner you are, there are hidden treasures everywhere. Whether it's a romantic castle ruin, an interesting museum, secret paths through old-grown forests or exciting tours through medieval town or villages - I'm sure I will make your day perfect and bring you a little bit closer to "my world". The city presents itself with a magnificent glance which underlines its beauty and the extraordinary ability to have maintained, over the centuries, its ancient and elegant appearance. Bern offers a lot from a cultural point of view, starting with its own innate charm thanks to the fact that it has been the capital of Switzerland for a long time. This has, in a way, contributed over time to forging the character of both the city and its citizens, so to offer one of the most beautiful visits in the whole Country. Monuments such as the Münster (the main church), the Clock Tower and the imposing Federal Palace, combined with the numerous ancient streets, the famous fountains and the views on the river and the distant mountains, give it a truly unique and enviable character; without forgetting the culinary experiences, where chocolate and coffee reign supreme (Lindt and Tobler are originally from here). All ingredients for a successful visit, wich I am sure will leave the desire to return here again

The tour will start in front of the church called Heilggeist (Church of the Holy Spirit), by the central station of Bern, right at the entrance to the old center, where we will head to get to know this beautiful city. The porpouse of the tour, in fact, is to show the most significant monuments of the city, such as the main church - the Münster - the huge Federal Palace, seat of the Swiss parliament, and the Clock Tower (called Zytglogge by the locals), but also to try to get the energy that this city has. It will be a tour that will lead you through the streets of the old center, right down till the bear pit (called Bärengraben), symbol of the city since the Middle Ages and still home to real bears. This will be our last stop, from there we will then return to the area of the city where we met at the beginning of the tour.
