Hi everyone, my name is Nicola and I come from Tuscany, actually from a historical small village, nestling between Florence and Siena. Here I started to work as a tour guide and accompanist for Siena, Florence and their provinces. As a big lover of the beautiful surroundings I was born into and where I grew up, it was always clear to me that one day I would be studying history of art at the University of Florence; and this is exactly what I did. Aside of it, thanks to my father, I also grew a deep love and respect for Nature, that accompany me since I was a kid, and is still, together with culture and important point of reference in my life. Thanks to my beloved Tuscany, that has provided me with so much inspiring inputs, the fire of passion for this beautiful job has grown so much that I now want to do it in the land that has adopted me, Switzerland, where I live with my family since more than 2 years. A country, Switzerland, rich in history, art, culture, but also characterized by a glorious nature ready to be discovered and loved. With these premises, I am here to introduce myself hoping to arouse interest in the people who will visit my page, sure that together we will be able to spend wonderful moments and create indelible memories. It doesn't matter in which corner you are, there are hidden treasures everywhere. Whether it's a romantic castle ruin, an interesting museum, secret paths through old-grown forests or exciting tours through medieval town or villages - I'm sure I will make your day perfect and bring you a little bit closer to "my world". I'm looking forward to welcoming you, yours Nicola Licensed tour guide since 2013. Master degree in History of art at the University of Florence. Teacher and trainer of tour guides in 2018 and 2019 for Bottega Toscana.

The tour will take people to discover the artistic and naturalistic beauties of a city as beautiful as it is truly little-known, such as Freiburg, located on the edge of the German/French linguistic border. With its monuments, the walls, the countryside which is an integral part of the city itself, even if it seems, being inside it, to be far from a town which currently has around 40,000 people, its rocky ridges, a sort of city canyon, and the river, truly forms a more unique than rare context that is worth discovering. Even better if done at a walking pace, appreciating the city from many points of view and discovering corners that would otherwise remain unknown to most. For lovers of nature combined with culture, for particular views, for lovers of physical activity, as well as for those curious to discover oases of peace and spirituality, the tour promises to satisfy you without a shadow of a doubt!
We will start from Freiburg Cathedral, Saint Nicholas, where we will then finish the tour. From there we will go to intercept the most beautiful points of the city walls, which are still largely preserved, in particular the area of the Morat Gate, with the large towers still maintaining an imposing and very medieval character, and the area around the Bern Gate, up to the so-called Bourguillon Gate, which to reach it literally takes a dive into nature, crossing a grove located overlooking the city, from which you can enjoy absolutely breathtaking views. Along the way we will enjoy incredible panoramic points, spectacular nature, we will visit notable monuments, climb medieval tours, and we will also get to know two communities of female religious. The tour provides an interesting combination of human creations and nature, which interpenetrate each other and become a harmonious whole, speaking of a distant past, immersed in today's modernity, as Freiburg also knows how to be.
