Hello from Malaga! Thank you very much for visiting my profile, it is a pleasure to accompany you through our region! I came to Spain when I was a child and have been living continuously in Andalusia for more than 35 years. Curious as I am, from the beginning I explored the different provinces of this fascinating region and I continue to closely follow all the changes and developments in this fascinating community. In my younger years, I studied business, worked in fashion and hospitality, and for many years I combined my work as a guide with audiovisual productions as a location scout, thanks to my extensive knowledge of the region. In the last 10 years, however, I have focused mainly on private travelers. After many years of leading groups as a guide and tour leader, I prefer to show our region in a more personalized way, trying above all to avoid the overcrowding that is so common today. Of course, there are top tourist attractions where you'll always find many other visitors, but I know perfectly well how to avoid the crowds. However, there are still less-visited places where you can discover authenticity and traditions. All my published tours have high ratings, but there are still many places I'd love to suggest, on a tour completely tailored to your preferences. Of course, there are tours that are always highly sought after, such as the Alhambra in Granada, Ronda, and of course our city of Malaga, which in recent years has become one of the most popular destinations. But don't forget that there are many more possibilities. I'd be delighted to suggest the most suitable option for your interests, adapted to your family (especially when several generations are traveling together). Don't hesitate to contact me for your stay in our region! Guia de Turismo Junta de Andalucía, Registro de Turismo de Andalucía: RTA nº 646 (Official Tour Guide of the Andalusian Government, Andalusian Tourism Registration License nº 646) Member of CEFAPIT - Guias de España Licensed Guide to: Alhambra, Granada UGR University of Granada MOOC: The Alhambra: History, Art and Heritage Seville Real Alcazar & Cathedral Museum Picasso, Malaga, Carmen Thyssen Museum, Malaga Automobile Museum, Malaga Centre Pompidou Museum, Malaga Museum Joaquin Peinado, Ronda Ronda Marbella Mijas Nerja Caves * My courtesy vehicle is a Mercedes GLC SUV (2018), comfortable for up to 3 travelers (or for 4 if you are a family and wish to use the central seat in the rear row). For all Shore excursions and tours for more than 3 pax I use a local provider for vehicles of all sizes. (Minivan, minibus and can arrange a bus for larger groups.) If you have a rental car at your disposal we can agree the use of it or a meeting place at a convenient place. **** Alhambra in Granada sells out quickly! Please make sure to contact me with sufficent time in advance! 3 months prior to the date of your visit is recommendable.

Why is Gibraltar such a special place? Did you know that we have a piece of Great Britain in Andalusia? In 1704 the Rock was conquered by British and Dutch troups and in the later treaty of Utrecht it was given to Great Britain for perpetuity! Do you know that the famous motto of an insurance company "Solid as a Rock" doesn't apply to the Rock of Gibraltar? In reality, the Rock is "almost hollow": an impressive system of tunnels was excavated in defense against the Spanish siege in late 18th century and during WW2, and there are several natural caves. Did you know that the Gibraltar was inclosed for more than 15 years? During the rule of General Franco, Gibraltar had closed borders with Spain. . . Do you know which legend caused Winston Churchill to introduce more monkeys during WW2? Let me explain you all important details, facts and secrets on the way and enjoy the Rock tour with a genuine Gibraltaranian local guide. *** Before booking, please check availability as Gibraltar services might be sold out!
-9 am pick up Malaga -11 arrival at the border town La Linea -11. 15 Cross border on foot and meet the Gibraltar guide, start Rock Tour -13. 15 end of Rock tour and time at leisure in city centre (Main Street, Casemate's square) -14. 45 departure (back to border by cab or walking) -15. 30 start way back -17. 00 back in Malaga We will cross the border to Gibraltar on foot (US and EU citizens don't need a Visa - others please ask!) On the British side, we will use the service of a local company for the Upper Rock Tour of 2 hours, and after the visit you will have some time at leisure at the City Centre of Gibraltar (depending on your schedule!), before we return to the frontier and start our way back to the Costa del Sol. At the frontier, there might be delays (which is not in our hands) due to the special controls between both countries. (My tour includes the transportation and tollways on the Spanish side) The costs of Gibraltar services include the admissions to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve.

We will usually use a minivan with driver from a local company, seats for 6 pax. For larger groups I can arrange a minivan or minibus according to the number of passengers. In case you are only 2 or 3 pax we may use a SUV, please ask in this case for a custom tour.
