Hello and welcome to Malaga! I’m Elena, an architect and tour guide, and I’d love to show you my city from a fresh perspective. After completing my university studies, I had the privilege of working with some of Málaga’s most prestigious architectural firms, contributing to building design and urban renewal projects. These experiences have given me profound insight into the city and its people. There’s nothing I enjoy more than sharing the richness of our monuments and streets, along with the historical context that shaped them. To bring history to life, I use graphic information and sketches that I create on-site—an approach you’re sure to love! In addition to my passion for architecture, I’m a food and wine enthusiast. I offer tours that combine Málaga’s history and culture with the story of its wines and rich gastronomy. If this immersive way of exploring a destination appeals to you, I can design a one-of-a-kind experience that blends architecture, history, and culinary delights, letting you savor Málaga with all your senses. And let’s not forget the broader beauty of Andalucía—a region full of captivating stories, breathtaking landscapes, vibrant cities, and charming villages. If you have a few extra days, why not explore and see why so many people from around the globe fall in love with this magical place? Let’s discover Andalucía together! What better way to spend time in Málaga than on a guided tour that offers real insight into the city's history, includes architect-led visits to two of its most iconic buildings, and ends with the beloved local tradition of tapas? This experience weaves together history, stories, and references to the streets, squares, and buildings that have shaped the city from its origins to today. The tour ends at carefully chosen bars where you can savor what makes Málaga's food culture so special. It's intellectually stimulating and genuinely delicious — the ideal combination.
We'll explore the Arab Citadel and the Cathedral in depth, with on-site graphics and sketches that bring both buildings to life. The Citadel offers remarkable views across the city; the Cathedral tells the story of its centuries-long construction, one of the most extraordinary religious buildings in the region. We'll also walk through some of the most storied streets and squares in the historic center. To close the experience, we'll enjoy a selection of local wines and tapas. The ideal start time is 10:00 am. Tapas and drinks are not included, so we can choose together based on your preferences. During Holy Week and Easter, the Cathedral is not always accessible — please let me know if your visit falls in that period so I can check availability in advance. The tour can be fully tailored to your interests — just tell me what inspires you and I'll prepare the perfect experience.

We can meet in front of the Tourist Office in Plaza de la Marina, which is located right in the city center. It's located right across from the main entrance to the Port of Málaga and the shuttle bus drop-off point. If you would prefer to meet at the cruise ship port, we can take an Uber to the city center. The Uber fare is not included in the tour price. If your group is larger than three people, we can take the shuttle bus from your ship. In any case, I will hold a sign with your name.
