Hello! Let me introduce myself. My name is Alain. It's a pleasure to share my city with those who are looking for an experience that goes one step beyond. My professional background is in international cultural relations, a field deeply enriched by having lived in such different countries as Jordan, China, Belgium, Hungary, Italy, and France. I try to bring this broad perspective of the world into what was always my home, the Alhambra. As a crossroad of civilizations, it is a unique opportunity not only to enjoy but to learn about such an interesting part of our history. I have a master's in Protection of the Heritage, specialized in Al Andalus, which gives me a strong knowledge on the ground, but at the same time, I do a storytelling show in which I've been bringing together humour and tales, no doubt the best way ever to learn about a new place I am fluent in English, French, and Italian, and I have been studying Arabic for so long that I will show you how to read the walls of our beautiful Alhambra and its unique poetry. The tours I provide in Granada include the Alhambra & Generalife complex but also different parts of the city as Albayzín and Sacromonte (including its gorgeous Abbey). If you're coming to Granada and want to get the most out of it, do not hesitate to contact me; an unforgettable experience awaits.

The Alhambra is one of the most breathtaking monuments in the world. But what makes it so extraordinary? The reason is because is not just a palace, not just a fortress not a city, but the most exquisite and profound BOOK ever edited. Yes, you read it correctly. The Alhambra is a book, it´s pages are not of paper, but of ceramic plaster and wood. Holding the delicate pages for centuries, is a miracle to have it still here. The walls are talking, and i will be helping you to read it and to go through the rooms enjoying the most beautiful lines ever created.
There order of the visit could change depending on our time to enter the palaces but the elements don´t change: - Visit to Generalife and its gorgeous romantic gardens, later we will cross the city of the Alhambra learning about the biggest archaeological site that we have and the city that still breaths and works. - Visit to the Palace of Charles the V, first work of Renaissance style in Spain - Visit the Alcazaba, the military quarter, in which we will enjoy the best views over the city. - Visit to the Nasrid Palaces, the absolute highlight. A 14th century vast complex of palaces and gardens that served as a royal house to one of the most interesting dynasties in the middle ages. - We will finish the tour in the main exit gate of the Alhambra, near the buses and taxis, or a gentle walk down to the city center. This is the itinerary i suggest, if you require any other needs let me know and I will customize the tour accordingly.
