Hi, I am Susan. I have been a tour guide since 2018, and before that, I have worked in the HR department since 2011 in several multi-national companies. I have B.A in TV & Films/Advertising & PR, and hold master’s degree in business administration. My dad worked in a bank, and due to his assignment, I had the privilege to live in Toronto, Canada for 3 years when I was in elementary school. I loved living there, where I naturally learned English and basic French. I always feel blessed that I am working as a tour guide. I get to meet people from various countries, have a chance to learn more about their country and culture, but most of all, I constantly learn more and more about my country. I love traveling, eating various and delicious food, and watching TV shows. I like to share what I know and like, and feel super happy when my guests like what I recommended. My daily tour will be based on walking tour. However, if you prefer a vehicle, I can have it ready with a driver with extra charge. The tours can be customized upon your request. Let’s have fun together!!

Overview of your Seoul tour

Seoul has been the capital since 1394 in the Joseon Dynasty. To show the border and guard the city, we have built a city wall surrounding the capital that is 18 km long. Though some of the parts have been destroyed and disconnected for various reasons, there are still beautiful city walls where we can walk along. We will firstly visit the Seoul Museum of History to know the overview of Seoul. Then we will walk along the Inwangsan Mountain City Wall section (about 4km long), which shows the most beautiful view. During our walk we will visit several residences from the Japanese colonization period, and walk along the ridge of the Inwangsan Mountain. Places we visit can be adjusted according to your interests. If you are worried about walking too much along the city wall, we can substitute to Inwangsan trail walk, which is more easy-walking but also with nice view! We can take public transportation (bus/taxi), in some courses on your request.

Your Seoul tour itinerary

- We will start at the meeting point (Subway Line 5, Gwanghwamun Station exit 7) - We will visit the Seoul Museum of History (closed on Mondays) and learn more about the city. - Then we will walk along the City Wall, and visit several residences built from Japanese colonization. - ‘Dilkusha’, meaning “Heart’s Delight” in Persian, is the name of the former residence of Albert and his wife Mary Taylor. You will get to know more stories about their dramatic life story. - We will start walking along the city wall, ridge of Inwangsan Mountain. - We will arrive in Chungun Park where it will be the last part of Inwangsan City Wall. - Take some rest in Buamdong District and have coffee/snacks/meal. - We will finish off near Gwanghwamun/Seochon Village, or a place on your request ** The itinerary can be customized upon your request.
