This tour exceeded my expectations. Really unique experience exploring the fish market and then having dinner cooked for us. We were with teenagers and children so they found it especially interesting. Highly recommend.

Hi, it’s Lee - formerly a big firm analyst, and now a happy tour guide! 😊 I was born and raised in Seoul and have lived in five different countries: Canada, the US, Australia, Russia, and Germany. I also traveled to over 40 countries. I studied Business in Seoul, including a year-long exchange program in the US, and completed my MBA in Sydney. After finishing my MBA, I wanted to pursue a career change to become a professor, leveraging my field experience. I worked as a market researcher, research analyst, and marketer at major companies. It was a highly paid, stable job - what many would call a good life. But I’ve always preferred being in nature over an office. I hiked Kilimanjaro solo, Annapurna Base Camp solo, Olympus solo, Everest Base Camp, Fuji, the Alps solo, Patagonia, and many other mountains worldwide. (By “solo,” I mean literally alone or with a hiking guide, as some countries require one.) I've also led a hiking club for over five years and usually travel overseas more than five times a year to hike mountains. Here are some of my highlights 2017 Japan, Fuji 2 days (3,776m) 2017 Nepal, Annapurna Base Camp 6 days (4,130m) 2018 Tanzania, Kilimanjaro Stella Point 6 days (5,656m) 2019 Nepal, Kala Patthar (5,644m) / Everest Base Camp 9 days (5,364m) 2022 Switzerland, Alps Vues du Mont Blanc 4 days (2,970m) 2022 Greece, Olympus 2 days (2,918m) 2023 Mongolia, Altai Tavan Nogd Base Camp 7 days (3,100m) 2025 Chile, Patagonia W Trek 4 days A few years ago, I started my own travel agency, operating nature and city tours. (Registered agency for foreign visitors in Korea and vice versa). Most of my tours focus on food and hiking. Now I can hike more often, enjoy great food with travelers full of laughter, and practice calligraphy every day, which I also love. I’m definitely happier now. 💕☺️ If you visit Korea, please contact me! Just as I enjoy my hometown, Seoul, I truly want others to experience its culture and nature as well. Thank you for reading. Hope to see you in Korea! 😊 Cheers, Lee [ International experience ] Born and raised in Seoul / Lived in 5 different countries (USA, Canada, Australia, Russia, Germany) / Traveled mostly solo over 40 countries [ Tourism ] . *** This tour requires a minimum of 2 participants*** Try this amazingly fresh seafood at the largest fish market in Seoul. Explore the market and pick out different seafood and eat them in the market's restaurant. My favorite food is shrimp in the market. The restaurant grills the shrimp and it tastes just amazing! Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market, known as the best place to eat fresh seafood in Seoul, handles almost 50% of the metropolitan volume and trades up to 300 tons of fishery products every day. As a local, I often go to the market and bring the seafood and cook at home. Discover delicious Korean seafood and challenge yourself to try new tastes in this market. You just might be surprised! *** Seafood at the fish market is inclusive - I select the seafood, however, please note that it does NOT include any crab / lobster. I will help you if you want to buy any additional food.
This tour exceeded my expectations. Really unique experience exploring the fish market and then having dinner cooked for us. We were with teenagers and children so they found it especially interesting. Highly recommend.
It was an amazing experience. We had things that we had never tried before including fresh octopus, sea pineapple, spoon worms. We started with sashimi wrapped in lettuce. We also tried cooked shrimps, scallops and fresh abalone baked in butter. However the highlight was the fish broth. It was simply amazing. My best advice is to skip lunch and do the fish market visit in an empty stomach, you will not regret it.
We ABSOLUTELY loved this tour! A MUST DO! We had a lot of fun seeing all the different live seafood - including things we had NEVER seen or eaten before! My two young children especially enjoyed seeing the live seafood!
Good introduction to the many varieties of seafood at the market. Lee made sure we tried the highlights and certainly allowed us to eat items that we would not have otherwise dared to order ourselves. She was attentive to our questions and even sent us information after our tour.
We had a wonderful time at the Noryangjin Fish Market with Ms. Lee. We had 3 generations on the tour ranging from 17 to 75 and Ms. Lee did a wonderful job with the tour of the fish market. We most likely would not have gone on our own with so many vendors and not knowing where to get it prepared. So glad we were able to go with Ms. Lee and experience the market, get fresh sea food, and have it prepared for us. Amazing food and great conversation! Would definitely recommend it!
