The Complete Sacred Valley Tour is a great way to explore this archaelogical sites and the sacred valley with the amazing farming fields and terraces. the sacred valley was an important area for the Inca empire that functioned as an agricultural, spiritual and political center for them, along the way we will be able see some beautiful sites such as : Chinchero that shows us an amazing catholic church built in 17th century and one of the most importan archaelogical sites. Maras where we will see the salt ponds and the procese of harvesting this ones. Moray where we will see terraces that where used for agricutural purposes. Ollantaytambo also known as an inka living city because of the different inka buildings. Pisac with its amazing terraces and views of the sacred valley. This tour will take you through the most importants archeological and natural sites where we will be able to have a great experience while we explore the different archeological sites, learning about culture, traditions and history.
Your Cusco tour itinerary
Pick you up at 7:00 and drive to the Sacred Valley. We start the tour visiting Chinchero where we will discover the colonial church, local weavers and local people wit their traditional dress. Then we visit maras salt mines where you will have an especial and unique experience to learn about the process of harvesting the salt. We continue driving to moray where we will learn about the agriculture activity in inka time. In here we will learn how did inkas adapt the diferent crops and vegetables to grow in different ecosistems and ecological floors. Then we also visit the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, this impressive site has wonderful views over the Sacred Valley and on the top we find megalithic bulidings on its impressive temples. At Pisac on the Sacred Valley we visit the incredible ruins at the top of the hill and also some very large terraces that the inkas use to use for agricultural activities. We end the day in Cusco (main square or your hotel) at 18:30:-19:00.
