Hello: welcome to the holy land of the Incas My name is Wilfredo, I was born in a Andean village (ancahuasi ) located 22 miles away from Cuzco city , I spend my entire childhood with my family and participated in a lot of activities of agriculture , where I was able to understand of how hard the life is in the countryside , that's way I decided to move myself to Cuzco city in order to work and study at the same time . Cusco is a magical city considered as historical and archeological capital of Peru and South America and located high in the Andes, is also a city with full of stories to tell you , Before the Incas settled in the area, the Killke people were already living here from the years 900 to 1200 then the Incas have occupied and expanded the empire by 13th century and by subjugating many small civilizations and at the same adding temples, roadways, and aqueduct systems . Cusco became the center of their empire and divided into quadrants, and each quadrant had a road that led to the corresponding quarter of the empire and finally settled and modified by Spanish conquistadors , this is actually all what you can see now when visiting Peru and particularly in cusco . Please let me show you some of these beautiful and historic sections of this old city to reinforce and enrich your understanding .
- I pick you up at your hotel lobby . - then we will visit the most local market ( San Pedro )Cusco where we will spend a good amount of time to see a lot of locals who selling and buying a lot products such as : grocery products, fruits, handicrafts , flowers etc. at the same time we will have a chance to taste some of these fresh products . - after that we will continue walking to Koricancha main Inka temple to see the best stone constructions ever built by the inkas where you can not even fit anything in between of two blocks . - later on we will continue to basilica Cathedral and see a huge catholic church with a beautiful main square right in front. - finally we will finish visiting San Blas and san Cristobal old neighborhoods where we will see beautiful and colorful family houses that blue balconies and doors and narrow streets. - once the tour is done we will be back to your hotel .
