Wilfredo was a great tour guide, and our tour was exactly as described. If you're thinking about Rainbow Mountain, please make sure you look at the elevation! You'll be starting around 14,500 feet, and the summit is almost 16,500, so this is no joke! Wilfredo provided a ton of encouragement, and we made it to the summit. His knowledge of the area was second to none, and he was a wealth of knowledge about Cusco and the surrounding area. I would 100% use him again next time we're in Cusco.

This was a fantastic day. Wilfred was tremendous. He was a great encourager and took a personal interest in every member of our party. And, if you want to see llamas and alpacas, Wilfredo is the guy to get you there. Do keep in mind that the final climb is strenuous and is at 16,500 feet elevation.

Wilfredo was an excellent guide for the incredible journey to the Rainbow mountain. He gave us a great history of the area and even got us some traditional meals along the way. The hike itself was very challenging but Wilfredo was able to help us reach the summit!
Your Cusco tour itinerary
- This experience begins very early with the pick up at the hotel lobby at 05:00am then heading to the small community of cusipata (located south of Cusco city). - at cusipata we will make a stop to have some breakfast and buy last-minute items such as : water, snacks, sun block, etc. - later on we wil continue driving to the begining of the hike and see some gorgeous and sweeping views through the car windows . - once we are there we will start hiking up throught the untouched nature with just a few Andean communities scattered in the mountains and lot south American cameloids ( llamas , alpacas) auntil arriving to our destination. - after 2 hrs of hike we will reach Vinicunca's summit That offers dazzling view of the striped Rainbow Mountain where you will be also able to take amazing pictures of sowcapped mountains and re valleys . - once our visit is done we will return by the same trail to beginning of the trek and finally take our private transportation back to cusco and arrive by around 5:00pm.
