The first time that I went to Uros, seemed to me that it was something unusual to think how and why they decided to live that way, there was a mistery around them. My grandma told stories about them and how they used to be in the 30's when she was a child, they have changed of course, the costums and hairstyle are not same. . .

if you want to know more, you have to come because their spirit is the same and they have a lot to tell you because Uros people have been living here for the last 1500 or 3000 years!
Finally but not less important, Taquile island is entchanting, I cannot tell you that is wonderful and that you will find it amazing.

I just can say that I enjoy every time that I come back to the island as it was the first time and the people who I went with told me that really enjoyed it, some of the strenghs of the island are its people, who are descendants of the Inkas and pre inkas, and the landscape, it can make you fall in love. This lake has mistery and history, I am proud of being from Puno.

I've always wanted to build a small house to stay there but they are very strict, they told me: "if you want to live here, you are welcome but you have to marry someone". I felt devastated, but they told me: "the next time maybe you'll be born here"
