Hello: welcome to the holy land of the Incas My name is Wilfredo, I was born in a Andean village (ancahuasi ) located 22 miles away from Cuzco city , I spend my entire childhood with my family and participated in a lot of activities of agriculture , where I was able to understand of how hard the life is in the countryside , that's way I decided to move myself to Cuzco city in order to work and study at the same time . Welcome to cusco city !! the capital of the Inca empire located in the southern Peru , at 3300 meters or 11, 000 feet above sea level . This fabuolous half day tour takes you around all the most important sites of Cusco Including visits to Cusco's Cathedral, the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha) , Saqsayhuaman and several Inca sites found outside of the city where you will be to see an incredible mixture of Inca and Spanish-style buildings , Cusco is truly a fascinating place to visit providing a blend of the three different cultures (. pre-inca , Inca and Spanish) and is completely different than the rest of Peru. This tour is a must-do when visiting Cusco city and what a nice choice to go back in time as we explore different parts of the city and surroundings . NOTICE : the departure time can be customized and based on your request but the latest pick up will be at 1pm to cover all what is in the plan , now if you are early birds we can start at 7. 00am and be out of the crowd .
- I will pick you up at the hotel lobby then go to main square and visit the basilica cathedral ( the biggest catholic church of the city ) - after that continue to qorikancha the main Inca temple ( known as vatican of t of the Incas) where you will see a big contrast between Inca and Spanish building and understand the difference of these two . - Later on we will the amazing and majestic archeological site of saqsayhuaman with its enigmatic monoliths ever used by the inkas . this is also the place that offers the best lookout for vistas and pictures of cusco city . - finally we will visit the last three beautiful and interersting arqueological sites such as : qenqo with its amazing stone altars used by Inka astronomers as solar observatories , pucapucara( a small circular Inca site ) used as a fortress and resting site and tambomachay known as water temple and also place for purification baths . - once the tour is done we will be back down to the city and finish by your hotel.
