Overview of your Cusco tour
Machu Picchu is one of the world's wonders, located in Cusco. Nowadays, it is considered Peru's main tourist attraction, located 7,800 feet above sea level. This wonder must definitely be included in your bucket list. During this amazing experience, we will visit this spectacular citadel, which nowadays is considered one of the most important pre-Columbus cities in South America. It is also considered a wonder of hydraulic and civil engineering. Join me on this tour to learn how the Incas built it all in an extremely difficult area. This full-day tour experience can also be combined with one overnight stay in Machu Picchu town or Aguas Calientes. It's up to you!
Your Cusco tour itinerary
This unforgettable experience will start early with the pick-up from your hotel to drive you to the train Station of Ollantaytambo, approx 1:30 hours. We will board the train and travel for about 1:45 hours to get to Machu Picchu town (Aguas Calientes). Once we arrive at Aguas Calientes, I will wait for you at the train station and then we will go to the bus station to get to Machu Picchu Sanctuary. Once at the main entrance, we will start with a visit to this impressive wonder. We will visit the citadel for around 2:30 hours or more and enjoy every aspect of this place such as nature, the different buildings, enclosures, and temples. Of course on the way I will tell you the history and culture of the place. After that, we take the bus back to Aguas Calientes town and have our lunch. Finally, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo Train Station and then the car back to Cusco arriving around 20:00 - 21:00.
