We’ll also visit the Panama Canal Visitors Center, one of the world’s greatest engineering feats. I’ll guide you through how this 111-year-old wonder was built and why it’s still so important today. The first time I saw the Canal as a kid, I was blown away. It’s wild to think humans can split continents to connect the world. That moment stuck with me—and now I get to share it with you. Plus, I’m certified in first aid and trained for emergencies, so you can relax and enjoy the adventure safely.
Our guide , Daniela was great. She has knowledge of the history of Panama, she was on time, drove us around safely and knew the local people when we took a boat. We felt safe and because of her training and her passion in Latin America history we discussed many interesting and up to date topics. She is great!

We have used Tours by Locals about 15 times around the world, and Daniela was one of the best we have ever had. She is extremely knowledgeable, engaging, personable and highly attentive to our needs. The 6.5 hour tour turned into an 8 hour adventure due to one of the main bridges being closed that day, but Daniela was patient and in complete control as we manuevered through the crazy traffic. The interesting conversations we had in the car made the extended time fly by. The Monkey Island trip was awesome, and we had several memorable experiences with the monkeys. The time at the Miraflores locks was excellent - both the movie as well as watching a ship transport the locks. We highly recommend the trip itself and especially Daniela as your guide.
Danny was awesome and the tour was fantastic. Danny was early, knowledgable and she was great with our 4 year old son. This tour was great for our son who enjoyed the boat ride, the monkeys, and the big ships but also fit us well as we enjoyed the history of the canal and seeing the monkeys around all the islands. We enjoyed every minute of it. Highly recommend.
·We'd begin with a pick up from your hotel and depart to Gamboa Town. ·An hour after departure, we'll be able to make a bathroom stop before going onto the boat ride. ·We'll then reach Gatún Lake and begin with our boat ride where we'll enjoy immersing in nature and keeping our eyes open for local fauna. ·Around 2 hours later, we can have a stop for lunch in Gamboa Town. ·After enjoying lunch, we'll drive to the Miraflores Visitor Center, from where we'll see giant ships passing through the canal in real time! ·At last, we'll return to your hotel.
