Hello there. My name is Tanja. I am a freelance tour guide from Kotor. Kotor lies at the deepest end of the breathtakingly beautiful Bay of Boka Kotorska, nestled between the sea and the mountains. It is listed as one of world's UNESCO sites, truly one of the most beautiful places you will visit. My roots are here. Being in love with my town and very passionate about my country, its history and heritage, I decided to become a guide and share my passion with the rest of the world. I did this fourteen years ago; started of with big groups, but realized soon that this was not the best way of learning about a place you are visiting. The best thing to do is to be in contact with locals, as part of a smaller or family group. This offers far more opportunities to have a direct conversation, share experiences and learn a lot from one another. This is the reason why I prefer working with smaller groups - everything is far more interesting and personal. I offer a variety of tours in Kotor and the surrounding coastal area, as this is my home. But, since I hold a National tour guide license, I can take you to different places inland. Feel free to contact me, and I can tailor a tour for you according to your preferences, timing and interests. To say that I would be happy to be your guide to this amazing place would simply be an understatement. It would be my honor to meet you, greet you and present to you all the wonders of my home. I am really looking forward to this. See you soon! Tour guide Licence issued by the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, no 919 BA in English and Italian Languages Valid Driving Licence

Listed as a protected UNESCO heritage site, Kotor is nestled in between the sea and the mountains at its back, in perfect harmony with its natural setting. The Old Town is a maze of narrow streets, which open onto a few bigger piazzas and innumerable smaller ones, with a magnificent amalgam of cultural and architectural influences coming from both East and West, from its Byzantine and Venetian heritage. Come and see my hometown through my eyes- there is no better way of learning about a place than visiting it with a "local patriot " like me - I promise you, you will want to stay.
Meet at the port or other location of your choosing. - Walking tour approx. 90 minutes - we will see - the Main Gate, - Clock Tower, - Bizanti and Pima Palaces, - the Cathedral of St. Tryphon. - The only two orthodox churches in Kotor Old Town -We will visit the catholic church of St. Claire, a stunning example of baroque art; - If you have any other place of interest that you read about or heard of, I can easily change the program and tailor this tour to suit your time and preferences - just let me know beforehand.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
