Hello, I am glad your travels will take you to around Kotor and gorgeous Montenegro. I am certain you will love your visit to Kotor Bay, and all the other areas of this small, however breathtakingly beautiful country, just like I did before it became the place I now call home! Let me tell you a bit about myself, I visited Montenegro for the first time over ten years ago, when my boyfriend asked me to visit his country and "meet the family". I fell in love with the place right away. Its wild and pristine beauty, in combination with the strong historical heritage, amazed me, especially when most of us didn't know about Montenegro (too many changes during the last 30 years, we will go though it in detail once we are together). Anyway, back then we visited most of the country during our stay. My hubby wanted to show off his amazing home country, and yes he did! Back then in 2005 we promised Montenegro would be part of our future. Now Kotor is our home, I'm happy to say I have been a local and an Official Licensed Tour Guide for about a decade! (License N. 831) I am also a member of Montenegro Tour Guides Association, getting my license and working as a private tour guide was definitely one of the best decisions we have ever taken. Overview of your Kotor tour
After we meet by the port main entrance or by the Main entrance of Kotor Old town, we will start with a visit to our Farmers market, here you will learn about the Kotor lifestyle enjoy the fuss and buzz from the farmers and local producers, offering their fresh organic and very tasting products, we will be able to try some local delicacies like prosciutto, cheese, olives and the local rakija! Then we are off to explore the streets and get lots in its maze while talking about the history and architecture of this breathtaking medieval town, we will choose a local restaurant and enjoy a nice taste of Kotor and Montenegro, we will have a platter of cold cuts, olives cheese, spreads and some local wine or beer, its time to relax and enjoy the town with a nice chat. Once we finish the tour we will walk back to the port or I will be happy to point some places for you to enjoy your leisure time or shopping.

As Americans, it was interesting to hear her compare and contrast her time living in the US vs. Montenegro. She was a good guide around old town and was the most pleasant guides we've ever had. She was a good source for finding gifts were wear looking for - wine and olive oil.

Wow, we had an amazing afternoon with Liset. She literally and figuratively walked us through the incredibly rich history of Kotor, carefully answering every question by providing facts along with immensely helpful historical context and personal perspective. Then after our tour we enjoyed a terrific spread of local meats and cheeses and talked together like old friends.
