What a great tour! There were 4 of us and we were met promptly. We took a driving tour outside of Kotor and got a boat out to a little island where there is a beautiful church. Having a private guide was SO SO much better than going with a larger group. Perhaps the highlight was her showing us this beautiful piece of embroidery that was incredibly elegant. She gave us the history of this while others on larger tours did not get any background on this incredible piece of art at all. We drove back to Kotor and got a terrific tour of the old town. Since our time was shortened because the ship was departing about an hour earlier than we had expected, we stopped for a quick lunch our guide recommended in the old town part of the city and it was excellent. Having a private guide makes so much difference and we would recommend her to anybody!

Hello there. My name is Tanja. I am a freelance tour guide from Kotor. Kotor lies at the deepest end of the breathtakingly beautiful Bay of Boka Kotorska, nestled between the sea and the mountains. It is listed as one of world's UNESCO sites, truly one of the most beautiful places you will visit. My roots are here. Being in love with my town and very passionate about my country, its history and heritage, I decided to become a guide and share my passion with the rest of the world. I did this fourteen years ago; started of with big groups, but realized soon that this was not the best way of learning about a place you are visiting. The best thing to do is to be in contact with locals, as part of a smaller or family group. This offers far more opportunities to have a direct conversation, share experiences and learn a lot from one another. This is the reason why I prefer working with smaller groups - everything is far more interesting and personal. Knowledgeable, good pace, English was exceptional
Tanja is very nice and knowledgeable. She knows her place very well. She gave us a lot of interesting information and also some stories about the place. We went first to the Lady on the rocks wichi is really beautiful and very interesting to visit. There are some beautiful traditions and stories inside that beautiful church. Afterwards we went to Kotor, which is a very nice small city to visit with a very interesting story. I highly recommend Tanja for this tour.
