Hello there. My name is Tanja. I am a freelance tour guide from Kotor. Kotor lies at the deepest end of the breathtakingly beautiful Bay of Boka Kotorska, nestled between the sea and the mountains. It is listed as one of world's UNESCO sites, truly one of the most beautiful places you will visit. My roots are here. Being in love with my town and very passionate about my country, its history and heritage, I decided to become a guide and share my passion with the rest of the world. I did this fourteen years ago; started of with big groups, but realized soon that this was not the best way of learning about a place you are visiting. The best thing to do is to be in contact with locals, as part of a smaller or family group. This offers far more opportunities to have a direct conversation, share experiences and learn a lot from one another. This is the reason why I prefer working with smaller groups - everything is far more interesting and personal. I offer a variety of tours in Kotor and the surrounding coastal area, as this is my home. But, since I hold a National tour guide license, I can take you to different places inland. Feel free to contact me, and I can tailor a tour for you according to your preferences, timing and interests. To say that I would be happy to be your guide to this amazing place would simply be an understatement. It would be my honor to meet you, greet you and present to you all the wonders of my home. I am really looking forward to this. See you soon! Tour guide Licence issued by the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, no 919 BA in English and Italian Languages Valid Driving Licence

We will drive to Perast, have the tour of Our Lady of the Rock. Not a single description can do justice to this place. It is truly a gem! A man-made island with an absolutely unique story: built by local people over a period of two centuries simply because they understood that finding an icon there (which actually happened in 1452), in the middle of the sea, signified that God wanted a temple built right in that place. And, there it is, for us to visit. Let me show this astonishing place to you, let me speak to you about local legends, customs, very rich folklore, history and cultural heritage. After our visit to the island, we will get back to Kotor, to do the guided tour of the Old Town. Narrow windy streets, charming squares and piazzas, beautiful palaces and churches, splendid architecture, laidback people and easy, slow rhythms of life: that is Kotor. From the first glance you will give to it, you will understand why it captured so much attention and why is listed as UNESCO heritage of humanity.
