Hola a Todos! I'm Diego Abud, a passionate local guide with 15 years of exploring every corner of Mexico. From bustling cities to hidden colonial gems, remote beaches to majestic mountains, I've dedicated my life trying to truly understand this incredibly, diverse and vibrant country. Twelve years ago I came to San Miguel and instantly fell in love with it. This magical city captured my heart with its perfect combination of rich culture, breathtaking architecture, deep history and world class dinning. All wrapped in one unforgettable destination. Since then, I've been trying to help our guests experience San Miguel de Allende and its surroundings, the way it deserves: deeply but easy to understand and with lots of fun. Whether you like walking the cobblestones streets of a colonial town or exploring its restaurants bite by bite, I'll guide you beyond the usual tourist spots. I'll share the stories, secrets and soul of San Miguel de Allende that only someone who truly knows and loves this place can reveal. Let me show you why San Miguel de Allende isn't just another destination but the best city in the world to visit!

Come with me to explore one of my favorite cities in Mexico. Founded in the bottom of a canyon, this mining city became one of the most important cities in the world because of its silver production. In this tour we will explore the different layers of the city, from enjoying an amazing view from the lookout to exploring the house where Diego Rivera, the most talented painter in Mexico was born and learning about the presence of pecualiar mummies in the city of Guanajuato! Join me while we walk through its alleys, explore its tunnels and be amazed by its unique history, legends and architecture!
- We leave San Miguel de Allende early in the morning. - We drive directly to one of our favorite lookouts where we can learn a geographic context of the area. - After the lookout, we start walking down through the traditional alleys that makes Guanajuato a more European than colonial city! We will visit the main landmarks of the town, whch include the main churches, the University of Guanajuato, the house where Diego Rivera was born and the Hidalgo Market. - We will have the chance to visit either the mummies museum (Did you know that there are mummies in Guanajuato?) or the State Museum Alhondiga de Guanajuato. - We will finish having lunch a la carte in one of our favorite restaurants in town with an amazing view!
