San Miguel de Allende & Dolores Hidalgo Day Trip

San Miguel de Allende is a colonial town with a special atmosphere. This city was founded in the 16th. Century, and was a very important step city on the road to the mining towns of Guanajuato and Zacatecas. I really enjoy walking through the streets of San Miguel, where you can loose yourself for hours. This unique place of Mexico was declared in 2008 as World Heritage Site by UNESCO along with the town of Atotonilco, which has a church known as the Sistine Chapel of Mexico due to the marvelous murals that has inside. The town of Dolores Hidalgo is considered as the place where the Mexican War of Independence started in 1810. We'll see the astonishing churc of Dolores, the charming square and the local market where you can see fresch products that local farmers are offering.
