My name is Yunuen, but everybody calls me Yun. I'm from a little town in Zacatecas in the northern part of México called Jerez, I moved to Guanajuato when I was in high school because of my dad's job. I studied psychology and I have a master's degree in clinical psychology, I always enjoyed the outdoors, history and travel a lot, so, when I needed a break I became closer to these activities, and as a hobby, I did a training as a touristic guide 9 years ago.
I have lived in different parts of Mexico over the years and I'm proud to say that I know my country quite well. I'm always amazed by the culture, the traditions, nature and of course people, I love history, archaeology, herbal medicine, and outdoors activities. 6 years ago, I was wondering where I could settle down, and San Miguel was the answer.
I love living here, San Miguel is one of the most beautiful cities in Mexico, full of colors, history, and art. I had the opportunity to work in one of the rural areas of San Miguel doing hikes and horseback rides. I fell in love with that part of my job, especially being around horses. I found out that their sensibility and connection with humans can be powerfully healing so I also train myself as a therapist-assisted by horses and equine therapist.
I'll be happy to show you a little of the history of San Miguel and of course show you the local and my favorite places, markets, and local cuisine, even we can do a cantina tour around town while we talk about the magic of this amazing place.
