I think he is the absolute best tour guide I have ever had. He knew his stuff, had researched ahead of time, and we got along so well conversing. And he was patient in answering all of my questions and helping me to understand the history.

Mexico is a warm and welcoming country, full of culture, color, and traditions. I would be delighted to share with you its rich heritage—from pre‑Hispanic times with pyramids and ancient cities, to the colonial era with colossal churches and centuries‑old houses, to the vibrant and colorful markets that make you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time. Trained as an English teacher at the local university, in 2011 I decided to take a new path and studied to become a licensed tour guide at the same institution. My passions are history and archaeology, and I also enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling and hiking. I offer tours in Querétaro (including the Franciscan Missions), San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico City, the pyramids of Teotihuacán, the Monarch Butterfly sanctuaries, and many other destinations. My guiding license allows me to lead tours throughout Mexico, so if you’d like to visit a place not listed among my regular tours, feel free to send me a message—I’ll be happy to arrange a customized experience just for you. Come and experience vibrant Mexico! License to guide throughout Mexico # N05128 NOM-08 License as adventure tour guide specialized in hiking #E02362 NOM-09 Driving Licenses # Q139438-01 (Local driving license) And QRO0022097 (Federal driving license for tourism) Degree as English teacher for Spanish speakers. My tour guide credential allows me to guide all over the country.

The town of Atotonilco is home to a church often called the “Sistine Chapel of Mexico,” thanks to the marvelous murals that adorn its interior. This extraordinary site was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008. Nearby lies Dolores Hidalgo, considered the birthplace of Mexico’s War of Independence in 1810. Here we’ll visit the impressive church of Dolores, stroll through the charming central square, and explore the lively local market, where farmers proudly offer fresh regional products. Come with me and discover this exciting and historic area of Mexico.

We recommend Aarón as a professional and smart guide! We appreciated the comfortable transport as well as Aaron’s knowledge about Mexican history and culture. He was gracious and provided an expert and relaxed experience. We look forward to doing another tour with him when we return.
Aaron was wonderful. He was knowledgeable and literally could answer any question. We spent a lot of time with him over a couple of days and the time went so quickly. We would definitely book with Aaron again.
This was our second tour with Aaron and it lived up to our high expectations based on our previous tour with him. He designed an excellent itinerary that introduced us to some of the smaller centres close to San Miguel. Again he demonstrated deep knowledge of the local history as well as a detailed understanding of the places we visited in Dolores Hidalgo and Atotonilco. It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning. He is a pleasure to spend time with.
Aaron is an excellent tour guide. He has extensive knowledge of the history of Mexico, the drive for Mexican independence, and each of the areas or churches we visited. The tour of the shrine was far more enriching with his detailed explanations of all the architecture, paintings and traditions. He also is flexible to accommodate any additional interests of the group from immersing in local culture to exploring Hidalgo's creative range of ice creams.
Due to the Holy Week celebrations, many streets in central Guanajuato—where our hotel was located—were closed to traffic. Aaron demonstrated great foresight and consideration by contacting the hotel in advance to coordinate a designated pickup location. Hotel staff were waiting for us upon arrival and kindly assisted with our luggage, a testament to Aaron’s attentiveness to his clients' comfort and convenience. After exploring many of the key highlights of Guanajuato, we visited the Diego Rivera House Museum—an experience that stood out as the highlight of our tour. As our Spanish language skills are limited, Aaron’s detailed explanations of the museum's historical context and Diego Rivera’s artistic evolution over the years proved to be incredibly valuable and enriching. We strongly recommend Aaron for the exceptional tours he offers in and around Querétaro and Guanajuato.
Pick up in San Miguel Drive to Dolores and visit to the town: Parroquia of Dolores, local market, main square. Drive to Atotonilco and visit to the shrine. Return to San Miguel.
