Hola! My Name is Victor Rosales I am a professional certified guide by the government as a history guide and Nature guide with a specialty in ornithology and photography. I was born and raised in the area I was 16 years old when I left my home town to study in the army school and I came back 10 years after to live my dream life. I quit my carrier in the Mexican Army to change my life and work as a Scuba diving instructor and later as a History and Nature guide. My passion for nature was always something that brings me back home for example the Caribbean Sea, Coral reefs, the mayan jungle, the ancient mayan cities and the memories when I was a child, fishing, swimming, and exploring with my dad. Ten years ago I started to work full time in tourism and conservation, I created a nonprofit organization to protect sea turtles, Jaguars and Birds I feel is my responsibility to educate the community, especially the kids when I am not working in a tour, I am protecting the nature with a group of volunteers. I really believe that every business should give back something to nature! My passion for the wild life photography is something that helps me to educate people and also in the tours I offer. Being a history guide, Nature guide and a Scuba Instructor is something amazing, I absolutely love my job and I am so happy to share with others all the special experiences and uniques adventures. Each tour is tailor made to make sure every one will remember the day in Costa Maya. PADI IDC Staff Instructor, First Aid Instructor by EFR (Emergency First Response), History guide by the Federal Government Credencial Number N006614, Nature guide Credencial Number E002390. Overview of your Costa Maya tour

Chacchobén Mayan Ruins is an archaeological sites that belonged to one of the most enigmatic cultures of the times, the Mayas. Learn about the relationship of their constructions with the celestial vault and the inheritance that their culture left to the world. Your certified guide in history and nature will tell you how the Mayan culture was connected with the local flora and fauna. I was born and raised in a rural area where I used to go and play in the jungle where I used to climb the mayan buildings and since a very early age I had many questions and I was fascinating about the ancient culture. Did you know that the Mayans were great mathematicians? Did you know that the Mayans lived in a place call Mesoamerica which is part of Mexico, and part of Central America? The Mayans also were great inventors! They builded Mayan calendars, farming methods, sports and religion. I will be very happy to share all my personal stories and the history of this ancient civilization.

Victor was awesome. He shared detailed history about the ruins and local peoples. In the return to the cruise port he took us to a fruit stand for some delicious mango and pineapple. I would highly recommend touring with Victor.

This was an incredible tour for us. To have such a knowledgable tour guide as Victor, who is an anthropologist to tell us about this Mayan site was a tour to remember. Victor had a driver for the three of us 69-76 years old, so he was with us in the back of the van to give us so much information on the ride to the Mayan site and back to the ship. It is a tour and a guide that is so personal, friendly and wants you to ask questions so he can share his love and passion for the Mayan culture.

This tour was 100% amazing! We set off for the Chacchoben ruins with Rafa driving, and Victor sitting in the van with us, giving us all kinds of information and photos of the history and culture of the area. He is incredibly knowledgable! When we got to the ruins, he proceeded to show and explain everything from the history of the area to the flora and fauna. Truly remarkable. We got to explore all of the ruins and saw monkeys in the trees. The ruins were incredible! We had mentioned our interest in tequila, so he took us to Dona Engracia tequilera, which was impressive and tasty. On the way, we stopped at a fruit stand and ate the most delicious pineapple, mango, and dragonfruit. Victor was an incredible tour guide, such a kind and knowledgable man who's doing great work for the animals and people of Mahahual. I would book another tour with him again in a heartbeat! 11/10

Victor is a phenomenal guide. He knows Mayan history and casually and thoughtfully discusses a range of topics from birds, conservationism, sea turtles- and Mayan ruin archeology. Gives a great perspective on local culture, the ruins- and might even stop at a local fruit stand. Highly recommend- If I could give more than 5stars, I would give 10. The tour is very comfortable, very safe, and no problem with timing or transportation back to the cruise port. Thank you Victor! A+++
