Welcome! I am Beata, I come from Poland, but my heart has the shape of Sardinia. I am here because I would like to share with you all what I love about Sardinia: I would like to present you wonderful people, the ancient traditions, the best local events & jazz festivals. You will taste the food & wine of centenarians, you will learn how to make the best culurgiones or filindeu pastas, I will take you to the unique traditional festivals and to the peaks of the mountains where we will admire wonderful sunsets. Just a few words about me :-) As soon as I finished the secondary school I moved to Holland where I worked as an au-pair. Then I moved to Italy where I live since 2001. I spent more than 12 years in Florence where I graduated in Intercultural Studies and I worked in the tourism sector since 2008. In 2010 I became a licensed tourist guide in Sardinia. In 2012 I decided to change Tuscany for Sardinia where I am still living, enjoying my life and working as a guide. I am a member of Slow Food, international movement born in 1986 that promotes local food, traditional cooking, slow lifestyle and responsible travelling. For many years I have participated in many food markets in Italy and abroad with the presidium Slow Food of Sa Pompìa. In 2021 I participated in the Polish production of the series I'm from Poland. It is one of the most popular travel programs of TVN Style. It has been broadcast for over a dozen seasons. The series takes viewers on a real journey around the world, and the guides of these expeditions are inspiring women who decided to leave Poland and live outside the country, often in the farthest corners of the globe. I wrote few articles about Sardinia for Polish tourism magazines and since 2015 I worked on new editions of few tourist guides for Polish publishing houses such as Pascal, Bezdroze. Who knows maybe one day I will write my own Sardinian guide book. I love travelling because I think is the best way to know the world, learn about other cultures and make some new friends. When I have some free time I enjoy to create something on ceramics, read books, taking the pictures. I am a supporter of minimalism in my life. I don't like waste, during my excursions and in daily life I apply the eco, responsible and sustainable lifestyle. What I love about Sardinia? All of it! The tinkling of sheep's bells, the silence of the autumn days, the pristine beaches and infinite landscapes, the big fire burning during Sant'Antonio festivities, lazy sunny days, crazy carnivals, good wine and food and slow life, rich with traditions and people, and beautiful nature colors. Gallura, the north-eastern part of Sardinia, is famous for its paradisaical sea, breathtaking views and… Costa Smeralda. But, there exists also different Gallura: the ancient one, with small villages spread between vineyards of vermentino and cork forests where time stood still. During this tour I will take you to the traditional villages where people live slowly, artisans continue the thousand-year old traditions, and children still play on the streets. I will show you unspoiled places out of the beaten paths, some archaeological sites and hidden gems of Gallura. I am used to concluding each tour with a glass of local wine and food. Why? Because it is a Sardinian way of hospitality, from centuries food and wine bring people together and it is also a secret of the longevity of Sardinian people. This tour can be customized.
During this tour I would like to share with you some of the authentic spots from the unspoiled Gallura. Our first stop will be the village of Aggius, perched at the foot of serrated granitic mountains. We will stroll through enchanted corners of Aggius, visit a workshop of Gabriela who is making traditional carpets. If you are interested in Sardinian tradition we can visit one of the most important Ethnographic museums in Sardinia (extra to pay). Walking through the streets of the town you can admire various works, murales that are part of AAAperto, an open-air contemporary art museum. Many important artists like Tellas, Maria Lai, Giovanni Campus have stayed and worked in Aggius. After a visit of Aggius, we will visit an archaeological site from the bronze age: Pascaredda Nuragic grave in the Gallura's countryside. At the end of the tour we can stop for lunch or some food & wine tasting (not included into the price) In Gallura there are more hidden gems, so I can personalize this tour.
