Hello, my name is Matteo, I am a native Sardinian and I've lived most of my life on this beautiful island, except for a couple of years in London and 6 months in Australia and France. I've also worked (as a civilian) for more than 8 years in an important international NATO base in the south of Sardinia. I have a Master's degree in foreign languages (English and French) but at the university, I've also studied the Sardinian language, Sardinian history, and traditions. I've also attended many courses in Sardinian Archeology, due to the vast number of prehistoric monuments we have in the island. Sardinia sometimes is compared to a continent, for its variety of landscapes, cultures, languages, and traditions. I would be delighted to present you my island in all its diversities and originality. We Sardinians love our island, we consider it as a very beautiful, special, and fascinating island and we are ready to show you around and demonstrate that our love is fully justified. BONIFACIO is a star attraction in Corsica, drawing visitors from all over the island and overseas to marvel at its medieval houses precariously teetering on the edge of the imposing limestone cliffs. BONIFACIO's Old Town, with a labyrinth of narrow streets and historic buildings, was built by the Genoese and is a fascinating place to wander around. BONIFACIO also boasts a busy marina filled with impressive yachts and lined with chic bars, restaurants, and hotels, enhancing the vibrancy of this fashionable coastal resort. The ferry takes about 50 minutes to reach BONIFACIO, it departs from SANTA TERESA DI GALLURA, a charming north Sardinian town, once a fishermen village and now a lively tourist resort. I've been going to Corsica for more than 20 years to practice my favorite sport, spear fishing and now for work but, every time I arrive at Bonifacio, I'm always astonished by the beauty of this town.
Matteo is a professional guide with a lot of knowledge. It is fascinating to listen to his commentary of the history of the place you are touring. We took a ferry to Corsica. Considering the heatwave he managed to take me to places that were picturesque yet comfortable. I had a great tour. Thank you.
Matteo gave my family a fantastic tour of Bonifacio - from the morning ferry ride to the walk thru the historic fortress, town and marine cemetery, he showed us parts of Bonifacio we never could have found on our own. He is very kind, knowledgeable, patient and flexible - we would highly recommend him to any family seeking a guide in Sardinia or Corsica!

From Olbia or Costa Smeralda we arrive, after about one hour drive, to the port of Santa Teresa di Gallura, located just in front of Bonifacio (12 km distant). Here we take the ferry that will cross the strait of Bonifacio in about 50 minutes. Once in the town, we will walk up the fortress (or it is possible to use a little touristic train). Inside the castle cars are not allowed. On the way back, in S. Teresa, we can go to see the cliffs of Capo Testa.

The tour will be with a Hyundai Staria Hybrid 2025 model, which is a comfortable, air-conditioned 9-seater minibus (see photos in my profile). Then, at Santa Teresa, we will take the ferry (about 50 minutes) that will transport us straight to Bonifacio.
