Ciao! My name is Simone and I love my island, Sardinia, from the depths of my heart. As a passionate nature lover, my mission is to take care of the amazing natural heritage we have, share this environmental awareness with my guests and make them appreciate the deepest, wildest part of the island, along with its culture, traditions and, especially, its people! Let's share an AdvenTour to make you experience what I mean! It'd be a pleasure to organize unforgettable tours for you, so you can immerse yourself not just into the beautiful waters of our sea but also into a millennial history, unique culture and unusual lifestyle. From the ancient Nuragic Civilization, who built the biggest towers in the Mediterranean area during the Bronze Age to today's Sardinians, some of whom have lived past 100 years of age. Sardinians are special! You'll find out a lot about the mysteries of centenarians and one of the Blue Zones of the world! If you're interested in wildlife and flora like moufflons, falcons, oaks or wild orchids, I'll take you on an amazing, wild AdvenTour! Of course, all tours can be tailor-made and adapted to special needs / interests! Some lines about myself now: I was born in Orosei, on the East coast of Sardinia and I soon realized that my passion for nature would become my profession. Since 2014, I've been working as a guide, especially in the area around Orosei and the Supramonte mountains, the wildest on the island, but I'm always looking for new areas to discover! I also spent some time abroad, which helped me improve my language skills and learn from other peoples and cultures: in Spain, in Montpellier (France), where I worked as a researcher for the CNRS (National Centre of Scientific Research) and in Germany. For the safety and security of our guests in the mountains, be aware that I am member of AIGAE (Associazione Italiana Guide Ambientali Escursionistiche), the most important national association in the sector. I give great importance to sustainability, itineraries off the beaten path and collaborations with authentic people. I want you to be an active part of our tours, so: Ajò! Discover the archaeological secrets of a city with a thousand-year old history, full of wonderful sites dating back to the Nuragic civilization (between the 18th and 12th centuries B. C. ). Sardinia is the richest region in Italy in terms of archaeological sites, but it also has a very rich and intricate medieval history, perhaps the most developed period in the island's history. After the archaeological part of our tour, we'll go to the rural part of town to visit the farm where we can observe the elaboration of sheep's milk to obtain typical Sardinian sheep's milk cheese, pecorino, or just taste the cheeses produced on the farm. On this farm, we will be able to discover the secrets of Sardinian pastoral culture and the characteristics of one of the most popular foods of the local gastronomy, and among those responsible for the longevity of our population. Discover the authentic traditions of Sardinia with me! Contact me to best modify and customize your experience according to your needs.
- First, we'll visit the Giants Tomb of Su Monte e S'Abe, a granite tomb produced by the renovation of an older "allée couverte" gallery tomb. It's the burial with the longest tomb body so far discovered on the island! - After travelling back in time to the Nuragic period, we'll catapult into the area of medieval castles, still largely unknown and undervalued by Sardinians and tourists. - We could then visit the Arheological Museum of Olbia where we'd see the countless archaeological artifacts found in ancient Terranova. Alternatively, we could visit Pedres Castle, an imposing fortress south of Olbia that dominates the plain, which used to protect it from raids from the south of the island. Its origin is related to the Visconti period of the Giudicato of Gallura. -At the end of our tour we'll travel to a farm near Olbia, to have a wonderful experience with a local shepherd who'll describe the traditional techniques of making cheese from sheep's milk and see some of the food produced on the farm. - Return.
