Hello, my name is Matteo, I am a native Sardinian and I've lived most of my life on this beautiful island, except for a couple of years in London and 6 months in Australia and France. I've also worked (as a civilian) for more than 8 years in an important international NATO base in the south of Sardinia. I have a Master's degree in foreign languages (English and French) but at the university, I've also studied the Sardinian language, Sardinian history, and traditions. I've also attended many courses in Sardinian Archeology, due to the vast number of prehistoric monuments we have in the island. Sardinia sometimes is compared to a continent, for its variety of landscapes, cultures, languages, and traditions. I would be delighted to present you my island in all its diversities and originality. We Sardinians love our island, we consider it as a very beautiful, special, and fascinating island and we are ready to show you around and demonstrate that our love is fully justified. On request, I can organize excursions with buses of 50 seats, boats, yachts, and helicopters. Excursions on the occasion of special events: religious, sporting, and local festivals. This is a must-see tour around the spectacular granite rocks of Gallura: Arzachena, Palau, Porto Rafael, and Forte Cappellini. Sardinia and the neighboring island of Corsica are the most ancient lands of Europe, their granite rocks took shape in the Paleozoic era, more than half a billion years ago. Matteo is the best guide we've had because he is extremely knowledgeable and manages our time that is best with our pace. He is cheerful and easy going. His car is very comfortable. My husband and I really enjoyed our tour. Matteo knows everything about the area. He's very personable, very helpful and considerate with our needs. He's very pleasant and went out of his way to make our tour of Costa Smeralda really memorable. At the end of the tour he surprised us with a bottle of red wine. It was really nice. Highly recommended.
We start the tour from Olbia or Costa Smeralda and we visit: - The rocks of S. Pantaleo - Baja Sardinia - Forte Cappellini - Cannigione - Palau - Porto Rafael At the end, we will go to the cellar for the wine and local food tasting at the Surrau wine cellar.
