Matteo took us to many places we would not have seen and was a font of historical knowledge - from prehistoric times through Napolian, to present day. He was also a fun and entertaining host throughout the day.

Hello, my name is Matteo, I am a native Sardinian and I've lived most of my life on this beautiful island, except for a couple of years in London and 6 months in Australia and France. I've also worked (as a civilian) for more than 8 years in an important international NATO base in the south of Sardinia. I have a Master's degree in foreign languages (English and French) but at the university, I've also studied the Sardinian language, Sardinian history, and traditions. I've also attended many courses in Sardinian Archeology, due to the vast number of prehistoric monuments we have in the island. Sardinia sometimes is compared to a continent, for its variety of landscapes, cultures, languages, and traditions. I would be delighted to present you my island in all its diversities and originality. We Sardinians love our island, we consider it as a very beautiful, special, and fascinating island and we are ready to show you around and demonstrate that our love is fully justified. On request, I can organize excursions with buses of 50 seats, boats, yachts, and helicopters. Excursions on the occasion of special events: religious, sporting, and local festivals. From 2025 my vehicle used for individual/small group tours will be the new Hyundai Staria Hybrid 2025. Contact me and I will be happy to organize your tour and give you all the information about events, places to visit, and the related costs. - Master's degree in foreign languages - University of Sassari - Italian tour guide licence n. 20001038 - Certificate of tourist guide n. 2020 - Region of Sardinia (Italy) None.

An introduction to the Province of GALLURA, and also to Sardinia. A journey back through time, 5000 years of history in half a day, starting with the gigantic mushroom-shaped rock of ARZACHENA and the prehistoric nuraghe LA PRISCIONA and its village; then the picturesque village of SAN PANTALEO, set between peaks of granite. This little old town still retains the typical style of the ancient villages of Gallura. We will go to the COSTA SMERALDA with its capital PORTO CERVO, where we will visit La Piazza, the Old Port and the church of Stella Maris. After BAJA SARDINIA, we will visit Forte Capellini, which in the XIX century was an important fortress dedicated to the defense of north Sardinia. Now, under the name of PHI BEACH, it is one of the most fashionable bar-restaurants-disco of the COSTA SMERALDA. In few words an overview of the north east part of Sardinia that will help you to understand where you are.

We had a wonderful tour with Matteo today! Matteo was a great guide and gave our group of 4 an excellent introduction to some amazing towns in Sardinia. He was very personable and shared amazing history and stories of this beautiful island. We would recommend him highly! Thank you Matteo for your kind attention, your safe driving and for giving us a unique and in depth look at the culture and history of beautiful Sardinia! All the best to you!
Mateo was absolutely fantastic. He was so informative and took us to places that we had never even heard of that were wonderful. We learned so much about the history of Sardinia and it's people. highly highly recommended.
If I could give this tour 10 stars I would. Mateo provides so much more than a sightseeing tour. He is the embodiment of generations of Sardinian blood and can only tell the full cultural, social, historical, political and geographic story as only a true product of Sardegna could tell. Although in the short time of a half day tour we could only cover the northern Smeralda region, I felt that I had learned years of this island's great story. I am looking forward to returning and further exploring the story of these wonderful people.. Andy and Lynda
Wonderful!
We only had time in our schedule for a short tour with Matteo but we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Matteo is very knowledgeable about the places we visited and has a great sense of humor which made for a very enjoyable morning. We recommend Matteo if you are wanting a guide in Sardinia.
Usually, we start with the village of San Pantaleo. Then we go to the luxury resorts of Porto Cervo or Portorotondo, depends on where your hotel is located. We move to Baja Sardinia and to Forte Cappellini (Phi beach). Lastly, Arzachena and its archeological sites (Nuraghe La Prisciona).
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
The whole tour will be with a Hyundai Staria Hybrid 2025 model, a comfortable, air conditioned 9 seater vehicle (see photos in my profile).
